Ok so last month I was in hospital for over a week and was in need of a haircut,so I thought let me try f4fade as I follow them on social media and also have friends who visit the Ealing branch, however I was nearer to the Fulham branch and was on time only to have the barber Patrick cutting someone else at my arranged time at 10am. Anyways another barber came in and said 25mins later that he was free to cut me so I said yes and he was kind and talkative however when I left and returned to the hospital I noticed the left side of my head was completely different to the right side i.e. the fades wasn't equal and the hair wasn't the same level. So luckily when a friend came to visit me he brought up my clippers and shaved my hair clean of my head. Then on (Monday 20th Aug 2018) I called up the Ealing branch to book an appointment for the 1st time only to be told that there were no appointments for Tues or weds in the morning by female barber and then told she can cut me on Tuesday but the price would be £25 as it was Eid, which I responded well I don't celebrate Eid only for her to say oh well. Not cool F4fade not cool as I've seen the work rate your capable of but those 2 occasions have...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed in the haircut I received here, and if I could give less than 1 star I would. I asked for a trim and a fade. I showed the guy pictures of what I wanted, and I told him exactly how I wanted my hair to look. I did not ask for a restyle or a big cut at all, and I specifically told him that I wanted the back to be trimmed just slightly so that it was back to shoulder length. However, he decided to cut off all of my hair in the back, and he also messed up my fade and missed a pretty noticeable spot on on one side. Honestly it was like he was too distracted by the kids film playing on tv to focus on my haircut.
As a trans person, my hair is extremely important to me, and it’s a vital part of how I express my identity. Losing my mullet when all I wanted was a trim is beyond frustrating and heartbreaking. I will never return to this shop.
I’ve attached two photos; the one with my longer hair is how it looked before, and how I asked for it to look after the trim. The other photo is what I left the barbers with. I wish I hadn’t paid for this...
Read moreIf you like waiting 3 hours to get a spot, then this is the place for you!
As a patient, paying customer, I don't expect things to be perfect. But they don't make it clear that walk-ins are not allowed. Therefore when you arrive without an appointment, and as a first time customer, be prepared to wait hours because they stall with clients and even stop mid cut to grab lunch, or spend a majority of the time on conversations with colleagues about football or irrelevant things. It's not even about the culture, I get that. It's about business and customer service, and no customer should be neglected.
First time I went there I waited 3 hours, I'm not exaggerating, before leaving for another barber (tried calling for appointment beforehand but no answer). Second time, I arrived and was told I'm on after the next client, another 2.5 hours later I decided to give up on this establishment.
The short of it, time is money. And some people don't have their life to waste listening to mindless conversation. Yes perfection takes time, but...
