Hygienic? Or so you would expect unless you consider letting members of the public (yes he's a local business person who buys from this outlet) walk about (on a phone call) in the meat processing area without the correct dress code. Shame HMC remit doesn't go that far in the health and safety (the government's Health & Safety Executive or the Food Standards Agency FSA does).

All in all much better in hygiene than many independent butchers - should we compare to the worst or the good standards of benchmark in the meat market?

Customer service good? arguable. However, good considering it's a pressurising work environment. Till guy argued with friend who ordered half a sheep in advance and was to collect only. They only started cutting the mutton when he asked for the pre-ordered meat. No apology for the 15 minute or so wait until I subtly intervened, which was returned with an upset face from the gentleman.

Established 1964? Seems the the good ol' service has gone down like the years that went by. In conclusion not the authentic service customers walk in the shop to buy the authentic meat. What can you expect at GPH? Proudly HMC red meat and poultry, yet measly and...

I went to the shop for the first time thinking it’s our muslim brothers and would have some ethics but unfortunately I was treated with rudeness and attitude with no interest to serve me infect they refused to give me half lamb then when I said it’s ok then just give me chicken they immediately had whisper with each other and decided to give me the lamb which appeared to me that they ware dishonest and gave me horrible meat which didn’t seemed what I normally get from elsewhere and chicken ware also dirty had bad and filthy appearance displayed. They guys rude and treated me like if they ware my customers not me theirs. Since we had that meat not once me and my family had heart to eat it as it had bed energy and bed feel of the experience and the meat itself all together puts out hearts away. And most importantly they invest zero interest puts in their work and customers so that creates the meat to be tasteless by vision and when cooked. So zero star for them and 0...

Horrible experience! Expected much better from a halal butcher. Looks like a theme here with very poor customer service... details: my wife ordered 3 quantities of chicken legs under the '5 for £9.99' deal (clearly advertised) totalling 15 packets for £29.97 (easy right?). Having paid a £10 deposit and called TWICE before collection, I found the order was now different on the day, for weighted portions, now totalling £48!!! (60% more than expected, although I doubt very much there was 60 per cent more chicken!). The response I received to my explaining the situation: 'well... I don't know'. Having me over a barrel, with thirty guests to feed, I had to buy it. But wait, they had add insult to injury by offering me a £2 discount (contradicting the £4 discount I was already offered a minute ago)!!!!!!! Almost unbelieveable, sadly real.
