Micky's Chippy — Attraction in London

Fantastic fish and chips, the large cod that I was served exceeded my expectations for portion size it was huge! The chips and mushy peas are really tasty and the owner even gave me a free curry sauce which was brilliant. They have some 5 pound specials which are great value but I decided to get large portions of everything. They also do fried chicken which I’d like to try at some stage. Friendly staff and great food, it’s take away only and cards are accepted for payment not just cash....

Superb chippy. I would say an institution. I have been coming here invariably over the past decade-and-a-half and whatever I get — chips, fried chicken, cod, saveloy, whatever — is as good as I remember the last time. Always well cooked, always well seasoned. I have genuinely never had a bad or mediocre meal from here. Great service from people who really care about their output and the local community.
