I called an hour before my court booking to cancel because it was raining and the ground was clearly slippery. The staff told me the courts were “playable” and unless I showed up in person and proved otherwise, they wouldn’t refund or credit me — which is really unreasonable. I’ve been given a credit when I cancelled due to 30mph gusts — however, they still emailed me back and said that was “playable”. So what exactly counts as unplayable to them? When I went to check the courts this time, there were only a couple private lessons happening, not “lots of people playing” as they claimed. The weather is out of our control — customers shouldn’t have to travel all the way just to prove it’s wet and unsafe.

Great tennis courts in Regent's Park. The instructors are really nice and all the staff are friendly and helpful. There's a cute little cafe here as well, and toilets and changing rooms.

A breath of fresh air in an already lush part of Marylebone, Regents Park's Will To Win Café will guarantee you great service and outstanding coffee. All the usual suspects are here: cappuccino, espresso, latte plus they have tea, a solid supply of healthy snacks such as lentil chips and all the juices and commercial soft and energy drinks one could ask for. According to friendly locals, this place serves the best coffee in Regents Park. Unsure who supplies their fresh blends and single origin beans but suspect it's Union Coffee, one of the most reliably fresh, tasty, locally owned sources around. There's also a drinking water fountain round the corner, spacious bathrooms with attached changing rooms and the booking service and tennis centre for the neighbouring courts, run by the award-winning Will To Win tennis company.

Sit in serenity with a cup in hand indoors where it's often quiet and many an individual has accomplished written or typed work, planned their day, charged their phone or just sat to enjoy the peaceful ambience. Or, sit outside on the circular benches with parasols and admire the tennis courts in action, set in London's most beautiful Royal Park.

Importantly, the customer service is fantastic and a special mention goes to Danilo, Catarina and David, who are versatile, efficient staff who deserve plaudits for their work. Don't miss out on this sleeper hit: for coffee aficionados, for solo travellers through the park, for groups and families wanting some refreshments and of course, for the tennis players.

N.B. there is a rank of Santander Cycles nearby, plus this is a spot on many a dog walker's route through Regents Park, so if you're a canine fan, you must check...

This review is for Coach Sameer Kumar Bagga at the improver tennis drill session at Regent's Park. While I've had positive experiences with other coaches at this location, my encounter with Coach Bagga was incredibly disappointing.

Unprofessional and Rude Behavior: After 40 minutes of participating in the improver session (including a successful first round of serves), Coach Bagga singled me out and yelled at me for not being able to serve. He offered no prior observation and not letting me speak when I wanted to tell him I am tired and I was able to serve for first a few rounds. He wouldn't let me explain myself, interrupting me with a loud and aggressive demeanor.

Lack of Feedback: I received no constructive feedback or advice throughout the session. Coach Bagga's approach left me feeling discouraged and questioning my tennis ability.

I understand coaches need to assess skill level, but this can be done respectfully. Shouting and interrupting students creates a negative environment that hinders learning.

It's important to note that I've participated in group and private beginner lessons for months, and I play weekly. Other coaches suggested I try the improver session.

Had he suggested respectively I return to beginner lessons if the improver level wasn't a good fit. I would have felt positive about the feedback.

Overall: Coach Bagga's behavior left me feeling upset and discouraged about tennis. It's concerning that this happened in an improver class meant to support...

The ground are nice but the customer experience is terrible.

Manage to book the ground in the morning and arrange a session with a friend coming from another part of London. 20 minutes before the booking I got a phone call from the team on the ground saying they have a problem with the court but they assured me they'll sort out. Myself and my other player both take a cab to be sure to be there well on time. We went to the reception and the guy just told us with nonchalance, don't worry just go the court. Once we reach the court we found another couple playing. We asked politely what was happening and they said, showing us, they've reserved the ground in the morning via the web. Quite confused we went back to discuss the issue at the reception and the same guy came back at us saying, oh there was a problem we can't sort you out. I was quite shocked as we did discuss the same thing in the morning via phone and on the ground. When asked what could we do the guys simply stared at us and said I can't do nothing for you. I've ask my money back and they said they'll redound credits in my account...Trying to check on the website but the section is not accessible (terrible website for mobile) Worse customer service experience ever. Don't use them as they will...
