Beetham Tower is a unique skyscraper, included in the ranking of the thinnest structures in the world. The building was built in 2006 using the most advanced technologies at that time and was then considered the tallest residential building on the planet (the height of the skyscraper is 168 meters). On almost fifty floors there are luxurious apartments of different layouts and areas. Although only residents are allowed inside, it is definitely worth looking at the building from the outside, especially since guides are not needed for this, so the pleasure is completely free.

I enjoyed my visit to the tower, the views were fantastic as it was a perfectly clear day. It seems a shame to restrict the public to only half way up the tower though. The bar was friendly and relatively inexpensive for a "rooftop" bar.

Most people know this iconic Manchester tower as "The Hilton". The Manchester skyline wouldn't be the same without it. Indeed it has the Hilton hotel and Cloud 23 within, as well as a number of private apartments.

Arrival in room: Bottle of champagne on the balcony, bit of mantivani, maybe a few nibbles.

Supper: Teatime was nice, pie and chips, very small large vodka and pineapple, bit of jazz, treacle sponge.

Entertainment: Really good, bit of dingleburt umperdink, bottle of whiskey, kareoke, maybe a cheeky pack of nuts.

Rooms: Very very good, nice wooden bed frame, pocket sprung mattress, bounce back pillows, goose feather & down quilt, nice wardrobe, wired hangers.

Breakfast: Amazing, egg chips & beans, everything on the buffet, just don't go for the mushrooms they're tinnned....

Both lifts stopped working, took us an hour to get out of the building taking stairs from 46th floor. The building is falling apart which is why no mortgage lenders are lending here. Glass windows break and fall on its own. Can easily hear each other from different floors. It's almost a paper box with insulation problems aswell but the designer still thinks he's done everyone a favour. The...
