This Greek restaurant is located in a perfect spot in Exchange square. It has a large outdoor dining area which catches the sun. It has a fantastic atmosphere. I have been to this venue twice now and unfortunately both times the food was very underwhelming. On my first visit I chose from the lunch menu. I had a spicy feta dip with pita, which was quite nice. It needed a little extra seasoning but I enjoyed it. I’d ordered the SPINACH TIROPITAKIA and was very disappointed. They were fried parcels which I had not expected. There was grease from the fryer all over the plate as they hadn’t been drained properly (see pics). This really put me off and I didn’t eat them. They came with a bulger wheat dish which just tasted like tomato paste tbh. Didn’t even have any garnish on it. The server saw I had not eaten them but did not comment, did not ask if I’d enjoyed my meal. Just removed the plate. Tbf the rest of the service was lovely, very friendly. I decided to give them a second chance and came again. This time I had the halloumi souvlaki. While this was much better quality than my previous experience, it wasn’t very authentic. It was basically chopped tomato, fries and halloumi in a pita. No sauces, no other salad. I would have liked some tzatziki or hummus as I have experienced in other Greek restaurants. Overall the food is very cheap and boring. It lacks the vibrancy/colour that is usually present in Greek food. Ironic that they call themselves ‘The Real Greek’ when serving such pitiful offerings! I would recommend perhaps a small plate with a bottle of wine here but only because of the amazing location. However there are restaurants very close which are much better value for money

Worst food ,worst welcome service by a woman on the door, the boy waiter was so professional and nice reason for 1 star. I went at 5pm The woman asked us to eat but get out before 6pm ,we were shocked for this awful uncivilised customer service. **Now Food** I paid £54.00 for 4 people meal,my daughter showed them 25% discount only to be told there is no discount on Friday . I don't mind but the food was awful,Now the sovlaki is never a sovlaki,no taste of anything, very dry ,a piece of mc donald mc chicken inside the worst pita.See photo,Sovlaki is very very tiny ,a baby food, not worthy a pound. No Taste of Jajiki if there was,I mean I am not sure what I ate,I wanted to enjoy my evening ending up watching time to get out before 6pm. What a worst service ,you pay me to eat for free again I would not. This place is a candidate to be closed,Very disappointed, what went wrong with Greeks out of Greece. Growing up in Ellada ,I have worked in hotels and served food in Mykonos for many many years, I still order pita until today from Greece, I have never had a bad experience than today, food with no tastes. It costs 1.50 to 2.50 Euro for mouthful of sovlaki in Greece not this one ,it is a joke.I feel sorry for next customer

The Real Greek is a great find in The Corn Exchange in Manchester. With access both from the street (Hanging Ditch in Exchange Square) or from within the Exchange, it is more extensive than it seems from the outside. A warm welcome from Paco and his staff, fast, friendly and efficient service, a reasonably priced menu, and tasty Greek style food made it well worth the visit. The staff were willing to explain what things were that we didn’t know. There was a great buzz atmosphere. There are multi levels of seating, some indoors, some genuine outdoors, and some in the covered ‘outdoors’ of the Exchange, giving the feel of outdoor eating whilst being protected from the elements. ♿️All levels (including the washrooms) were easily accessible, with lifts were necessary, and tables were sufficiently far apart to allow wheelchair manoeuvring without problem. Children are welcome. Fully recommended for a well-priced and enjoyable experience.

Last night, Sunday 27/8, I called up at 7pm, an hour before I needed to be at the cinema, to see if they thought I would be able to make the showing after a meal with them.

The lady on the phone, Olga, assured me that I would and that she would “take my order very quick.”

I arrived little over a half hour later (just under a half an hour to go!) realised the film I intended on seeing would leave me stuck in town with no way to get home (running time was three hours for Oppenheimer) so I quickly changed my plans to see Blue Beetle which started 15 minutes later but was shorter 😁

Olga greeted me on arrival, asked me if I preferred to sit in with the crowd or on the outskirts to make a quick getaway, I chose further in but asked to not be too crowded.

She could oblige me and so she did, which was lucky for me!

The music was lovely and relaxing which was a welcome change from the thumping club music I experienced the last time I was in several months ago - maybe this was a one off, I don’t know as I’ve only been in once out of the last several months so don’t shoot the messenger if I’m wrong, please 🥹

A very polite and beautiful young woman quickly took my order after I had been given a minute to think about food with water, which I was offered as soon as I sat down. I was attentively asked again and this time I wanted some apple juice 😊

The food was delivered superbly and quickly and was deliciously tender and flavourful even though it was prompt, I had asked for a big plate not just the little sharing plates, and so I was given one 😁

And by 8pm I was all paid and ready to leave as promised! Despite the efficiency, there was no point at which I felt rushed or even panicked.

Thank you very much to all.

All round, a wonderful, delicious, welcoming and efficient evening! I will go back.

(I ate two chicken skewers, and one pourgouri - a tasty little dish of bulgur wheat in a herby tomato sauce, apart they were yummy and together...

My family and I went there after doing some shopping. The kids were tired after long day of walking, the food was OK. The service girl was nice. What made it BAD was we forgot one of our shopping bag. Next day we went to ask about it , the waiter said, Yes. I saw it after you left and she gave it to other person work in the same restaurant to keep it for you when we come ask for it. Let me go get it for you. We said thank you . She looked and looked and could not find it. Then , she said the other employee is not here give us your phone number and email. Will call you when the employee come. Sure enough , no body called or email. Next day ( we were leaving Manchester) went there , and we were told the manager is not there and they do not know where our bag is. I can you call her please , we have international flight to catch. And we sat and asked other waiters , few minutes later the manger said we do not take responsibility for items left in the restaurant. I told her one of your employees said she kept for us. And you have cameras in here you can look where is it. Then , she said she could not find any thing on the cameras.. very BAD customer service and put a bad taste about the whole experience there. Highly recommend...
