This is a truly beautiful venue tucked away on one of the up and coming side streets of Manchester. The decor is stunning and modern but with a cosy and inviting feel. The staff are welcoming and chatty and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The cocktail menu is outstanding and I certainly intend to try every one! The selection of Manchester Gin is fantastic and it's well worth sampling them all. The food is delicious and presented in a modern fashion but I would like to see more vegan options as at breakfast and brunch in particular the menu is quite limited for those on a plant based diet.
The Gin Tour is good fun and it's great to try all the gins but it does need some work as there wasn't much structure to it and the tasting was rushed and without much information given about the variations. We did attend on their second week of opening though so I'm sure that this will improve in time and I certainly wasn't put off from attending again.
My only criticism is that the bar use plastic straws. In a time of climate change emergency and with all other businesses trying to reduce their plastic waste and single use plastic this seems like a bad decision, especially when there are plenty of other alternatives out there such as paper, bamboo and stainless steel. Three Little Words is doing so much elsewhere with their carbon free dining that this issue really does need addressing.
Overall a great bar with amazing drinks, good food and a welcoming atmosphere. Well...
Read moreWe paid for 3 people for the Manchester gin tour and could not attend as the pandemic hit (tickers cost £285). We tried to book a date after the pandemic cleared and the distillery refused to allow us to claim our voucher back as a good will gesture, as it had, of course, expired by 12 months , even though we explained we were happy to pay the difference between the annual price increase. We also had an additional 2 attendees who wanted to join and were happy to pay the full amount. However the venue explained they are only small and unable to accommodate the cover of the three already paid for tickets and we would have to purchase all 5 tickets again. (Despite us explaining we wanted to book into the restaurant etc too, which would have meant an additional £300 for the distillery at the very least on top of our already paid for tickets, making it a sensible financial decision for the business). Needless to say we did not attend and had to forgo our already paid £285. I think it is worth warning others that you will not receive any gesture of goodwill at this establishment and they seem to be struggling financially so just be aware when spending a large amount of money with them to just...
Read moreWhat an amazing place. My partner and I have always loved Manchester Gin and followed their progress so when they announced the opening of the distillery and Three Little Words we couldn't wait to visit...and we weren't disappointed. The gin tour was brilliant, very informative and heart warming with stories of how it all began and how it has evolved from there. The gin school was really interesting, more so than I thought it would've been. This has just made us love this company even more. We even briefly met the owners and their dog! The venue itself is done to a high standard with great attention to detail. It's a fab setting anyway but the way they've done it is pretty awesome, quirky and very stylish. The staff are friendly without being over the top and know their stuff. I probably sound like I'm going over the top but I honestly can't praise this place enough, visit today you won't be disappointed. This company have got it just right and deserve the praise and good press they...
