What a beautiful old church great place for a sit down and watch the world go by plus theirs a cafe nextdoor so you can have refreshments and snacks plus it's nicely decorated and furnished lovely the staff are very welcoming and friendly service not to expensive and toilets are clean plus m&S are next door and McDonald's facing the church if you don't like the idea sitting nextdoor to a church.

Interesting Anglican church in the heart of Nottingham. One of the more beautiful churches in town, with many architectural and art history details to be discovered. The church shows traces of many stages of construction from about 1180 onwards. The nice café was unfortunately closed for renovation during my latest visit. Well worth a visit on any trip to the city.

I popped into this church by chance, lured in by a banner advertising a charity Christmas card sale. I was amazed by the beauty of this church. The architecture is amazing. Very interesting to find out that the church has a history of over 900 years.

With over 900 years of history, originally built around 1100, St. Peter’s has seen it all — from fire and rebuilds to moments of love and faith.

Walking through its stunning architecture, I can feel the history in every corner. It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back weekend stroll, taking in the beauty and calm of this iconic Grade I listed building.

Whether you’re into history or just looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of the city, St. Peter’s won’t...

A well-maintained Anglican church in the city centre; a few steps away from Old Market Square. A local told me that the original church had been destroyed by fire around 1153 after Matilda’s attack. Empress Matilda was among those who claimed the English throne during the Anarchy (civil war). Matilda, who fought against her cousin, was the daughter of Henry...
