Cheetahs Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Wales

First time visiting here. Came here with a friend for food and cocktails. On arrival the lady was lovely and friendly, showed us to our seats. I absolutely loved how quirky the place was decorated, something to see everywhere. I started off with with an espresso martini, very nice indeed, coffee wasn't butter at all which I find can happen in some places, so they nailed that! Ordered food, i had the mushroom linguine with added chicken, very, very tasty, can really recommend. The waiter then came to the table to clear the plates and asked if we would like desert or drinks, so we said we'd order drinks, ee were going to order the cocktail tree. He took the plates then didn't come back for about 20mins. He walked around us many many times, serving people around us. There were only 5 other tables occupied in the back restaurant, so not overly busy. When he eventually came to the table he said "oh yes you wanted to order drinks didn't you" to which my friend replied, "that was 20mins ago". All he replied was that he was busy, to which I pointed out that it was pretty quiet, his response was quite a sarcastic "ok". At this point we just asked for the bill, paid and left instead of ordering more. Had there been at least and apology, we may have stayed, but sadly no. This is the reason for the loss of a star I'm afraid. Other than that we thought...

Went off the cuff for a walk in Porthcawl on a beautiful day, seen a sign for this bar, so decided to have a drink, upon entering the bar what an amazing place beautifully decorated in an oray of exotic animals, had a cocktail from the bar presented to perfection the staff were so welcoming and extremely helpful and friendly.

We decided on having food what a lovely food, started with pate which was so tasty very well presented, went for a beef dinner, with all the trimmings, presented to perfection again, the beef we so beautiful the veg served on separate platter which was so tasty, the roast potatoes are to die for as well. Couldn't fit my desert in so they said I could take it home what was so kind of them.

This place will definitely have new customers from myself and my family. Everyone enjoyed there food not one person said they didn't like it. When you have a family with different tastes it's hard to please. Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful decor, such friendly atmosphere plus there was a live singer. Lush drinks and really quality food.

Very disappointing as our second visit when compared to the first. Our first visit here was great, we had heard new chef, new menu and the food didn’t disappoint. Staff seemed happy and a really nice vibe. Second visit then this weekend, what has happened. Staff looked lost and everything was chaotic. Menu was limited due to what ever reason, but then a new menu in the nights has been added which felt shoved down our throats by the lady who seemed in charge, it came across as if she was very happy about her night menu but to us it felt embarrassing the fact that they couldn’t offer the full normal main menu as standard but advertising to us that they offer an extra new night menu. Get the fundamentals right before trying to do more things. Food was quite bad compared to our first visit. The whole place just seemed chaotic and unorganised which played its toll on the service and food. Whilst waiting for a manager/owner to come address our complaint with the food we had to wait for her to attend her table first and have a few mouthfuls of her wine which was an insult at its best. Shame as we had high hopes for this...
