Such a shame!
Even now, the security staff continue to stare at my husband whenever he visits the store, as if he's there to steal something. Itâs incredibly disheartening.
About six months ago, my husband was publicly harassed by the TCS agency security staff. Due to a system error during a previous visit, a payment didnât go through â something neither we nor the store staff noticed at the time. The security tag was removed, and he left the store under the impression that the transaction had been completed.
During his visit that day, the security staff approached him aggressively, shouting and treating him like a thief. The situation could have been addressed respectfully â he would have had no issue settling the payment. Instead, he was humiliated in front of customers and his own boss, who happened to be with him at the time. One of the security staff even made a racist remark: âAre you Indian or Sri Lankan? You guys will do it!â This was blatant racism and completely unacceptable.
As the general manager of a store on the same Commercial Road, my husband was embarrassed in front of people who know him professionally. The way this was handled left him feeling deeply humiliated and traumatised.
To make matters worse, Tesco duty manager Mack Moore did not apologise. Instead, he attempted to resolve the issue by offering to waive that dayâs bill â an offer my husband declined. He also refused to accept payment for the original purchase.
As long-standing Tesco customers, this was the most distressing and disappointing...
Read moreIâm not one to leave negative reviews but I canât help but feel obligated to say something.
The first problem is that Iâll go to tesco and have a plan in mind for dinner for the next few nights. Whether it is fajitas, chilli, or just pasta. However, they seem to lack the basic ingredients for these âtypicalâ meals, itâs a joke. Iâll go in there, no peppers, no blueberries, no tomatoes, no basil, no tzatziki yet theyâll have multiple versions of humous and sour cream and chive dip. Not to mention that they have 3 different types of fresh chillies but all have the same strength! It doesnât appear to have the smaller packs of mince either which isnât ideal for a university student that lives alone.
Secondly, the quality of the food is not great. Not only are they charging so much money for their chicken breast but if you look inside the package it looks like itâs been flung around the floor and hit with a rolling pin, vile.
The queues are also a joke, Iâll be there waiting for absolutely ages while my food is going warm. The Tesco staff are nice from what Iâve experienced, however, there is never an apology or any sort of response to the queues. Youâre just expected to line up down the isles waiting aimlessly. The self checkout area is a nightmare with people going there with shopping trolleys not having a clue how the...
Read moreThe people who work here will find every way to steal from you. If you go to self checkout, make sure you don't have your headphones on, as they will target you. The methods of stealing from you is, they will make it seem that there's something wrong with the machine, they will try to stand on the side of the scanned items and pocket some of the items when you're too busy being focused on the screen. If that doesn't work they will try to tell you that you didn't scan a certain item even though you did, they will show you the screen showing only a couple of the items scanned, just tell them to scroll up and see the whole list. If you choose to have a worker scan your items, don't get caught up on the items you have to bag, make sure you are constantly focused on the worker and looking at their hands and what they're doing, they will scan an item more than once, and go get that item at the end of the day, so that it doesn't look like any things went missing when the manager counts the items. You can't complain because they'll just say that it was an accident. ALWAYS TAKE YOUR RECEIPT EVEN IF YOU GO TO...
