Oodles Wok Portsmouth — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Horrible. I was with my family here, they were ordering separate directly in front of me. They put their order, and I was next. It took about 5 minutes for staff to acknowledge me after they were at the till and seated.

When I went through the man who served me left my food on the side behind the window. Then another person came and took the people behind me.

They got their food and sat down while I stood at the end by the till waiting to be acknowledged. Then the people behind them were at the till getting their food paid for, while I'm being passed up. The 4 staff back there didn't notice me even though I was directly in front of them at one point, and making eye contact.

The guy who left my food never bothered to acknowledge me, or to tell anyone that I was there he looked at me and said nothing.

I had to speak up saying my food was back there, the woman at the till finally listened and took one of my boxes and left the rest. I had to explain both boxes next to each other were mine.

After that it was about 5 more minutes of her wandering around and then getting my drinks, doing another unrelated task despite not being busy.

Needless to say I sat down 25 minutes after my family. It took 25 minutes to deal with 3 pairs of customers and none of us had to wait on food being made.

Being in the service industry my whole life I was kind of shocked how clueless...

My wife and I arrived on opening day hoping to break our fast by grabbing the 50% off deal. But due to the stores technical issues we left empty handed.

We returned the following day to give oodles another go. The team member on the till, Laila, acknowledged us and kindly offered 50% off our meal, having missed it the day before. World class customer service at the forefront, thank you!

Also another special thanks again to team member Laila for her act of unbelievable generosity. Our 1 year old baby boy was thirsty and we requested for a small cup of water. Unfortunately, the store does not cater small cups and therefore we decided to shoot by a convenience shop to grab a baby bottle of fruit shoot instead. Before we could reach the store Laila followed us from behind and ever so kindly handed us a bottle of water from the restaurant.

First time visiting today and was immaculate! Could not have asked for a better experience. I visited between 6:30-7:00pm and the 3 members of staff there was so friendly. I’m disabled and found the shop very accessible. Unfortunately whilst I was there a just eat driver came in being very demanding, touching food that wasn’t his and being very rude to the staff serving him. But I must say the staff dealt with it amazingly!! Their service did not falter, they were working quickly but efficiently to keep up with orders. This place is busy as for a reason! Definitely try, food is mouth watering and will definitely be a regular. Thank you again to the staff for making it so lovely and welcoming in there apologies for telling the driver off but you were doing a smashing job and basic respect was owed to you 🧡 I commend you for still have excellent customer service in the face...
