A very nice, attractive park and garden in Caversham. The park and walking path along the river is on opposite banks. You can feed ducks, or just enjoy the green space or either walk along the river. Looks like the river is busy with canoyeing during the summer. If you going to drive to this park, the closest free Car parking is The Warren (behind the church). You will find plenty of car parking here along the road. I recommend this park and gardens. Thanks.

A regular stop for my kids to feed the ducks, run around, climb the trees and play on the “slide”. Lovely spot to walk through, have a picnic or grab coffee and cake from the kiosk. The gardens are beautiful and the grounds well kept and very clean(mostly free of duck/goose/swan poop)

Beautiful park, really nice and quiet at sunrise and sunset - can get busy at weekends during the summer but still worth it!

This is a great place to visit in Caversham to relax and learn about the regions history Caversham Court Gardens is located in Caversham, UK directly north across the bridge from Reading on the north side of the River Thames. It is a delightful gem that seamlessly combines history, natural beauty, and tranquility. This riverside oasis offers a serene escape from the bustle of urban life, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, some quiet contemplation, or to learn some history about the area. The gardens are steeped in history, with their origins dating back to the 12th century. The site was once the location of a medieval manor, and remnants of the Tudor-era house still stand, adding an air of historical charm to the surroundings.

It is a picturesque setting that provides breathtaking views of the river and the lush greenery on its banks. The well-maintained lawns and flowerbeds are a testament to the care put into preserving this natural haven. Visitors will also appreciate the diverse plantings, including colorful flowers and mature trees, creating a serene atmosphere. The peacefulness of the gardens is enhanced by the soothing sound of the river flowing gently by. There is a small building that serves as a tea shop and is manned by volunteers. With its historical significance, riverside location, and well-tended grounds, Caversham Court Gardens offers a delightful escape for those seeking a peaceful connection with nature and a taste of local history. It's a place where the past and present harmoniously converge in a setting that invites reflection...

Such an amasingly, beautiful, quiet, outdoor space. Very well kept and just a stones throw from Caversham. There are towering old trees with a view of the river and also a nice bit of history if you look closely. You can get tea etc at the kiosk too. You'll need to park up the hill and to the right by the Warren where there's free parking behind the boat club just next to the church or walk up from the Griffin parking where its not free but more convenient with buggies etc. Thanks for giving this us amazing spot and keeping it...

Lovely river vista, especially on a sunny day. A bit dirty thanks to people, mostly because the bins are absolutely full, but people still trying to force-shove something in them. Swans, geese and ducks only a few steps away. Sadly, we humans use them as bins too, feeding them their stale bread, and too much of it judging by some obese swans and geese ! Generally speaking, place is full of fat birds, some in the water chewing white bread, some outside, chewing gum and talking incessantly on their...
