I love how so many of the reviews here are rating according to how well their team played and whether they won or not, rather than the actual location. This is a classic old style football ground positioned on the banks of the River Trent (alongside the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground). It's a steady 20-25 min walk from Nottingham Train station but the shortest route does take you through a dodgy area of Nottingham so be warned. The ground facilities are average and only available on match days. Typical football grub and beer is available, though quite expensive. Seating is good with average leg-room and there are a few areas where standing is (grudgingly) allowed. The stewards are generally friendly and helpful. Parking is available but very limited and parking near the ground is becoming increasingly hard to find. There are several buses that run by the ground. The ground is not served by the tram but one of the routes does have a stop by the river which gives you a nice 15min walk along the river (on a nice day). On match day, the fans are generally friendly to anyone that's not acting like a complete knob. There are several pubs close by, all of which are very busy...
Read moreExcellent Day at the City ground. Walking down the trent side, you can feel, the excitement, history and passion of the forest fans past and present. The wall plaques, gives you sense of what it means to be passiona about Forest.
A very nice and friendly welcome at the main entrances. Started, with welcome drinks in the Munich Lounge. The wall pictures are amazing. Our executive boxe, was well set out and perfect.

Read moreI visited the City Ground as an away supporter in my wheelchair. I'll make no comment about the action on the pitch. Even before I arrived I was expecting a positive experience as Nottingham Forest had phoned me to arrange wheelchair accessible on site parking. When we arrived at the stadium we were greeted by very friendly stewards who directed us to the bar area. We had a pre-match Pukka pie (chicken balti) which was fresh, hot and delicious. We also had a pint of Madri (Spanish-style lager, very tasty). After our refreshments the friendly steward escorted us to the wheelchair area behind the goal. We had a good view from here. The steward also went and got me a programme as I'd not bought one outside the ground. The same steward then returned after the match and escorted us to the exit. In summary, a very positive match...
