We attended the Joe Worral, ex NFFC Captain, event with Simon Fotheringham interviewing him on Sunday 23rd Feb. The event included a 2 course Sunday lunch, the interview with Joe and we all watched Forest play at Newcastle and Man City v Liverpool on multiple TVs. The interview was excellent with Simon doing a superb job. The 2 course Sunday lunch meal included a choice of meat and sticky toffee pudding for afters. The food was excellent. Great portions and quality cooking. Competitive pricing and great value for money. Service was also excellent, with drinks being ordered and served at the table. Recommend 100% for any events as well as casual dining or just calling in for a drink. First class facilities and decor. Big thanks to all the team and Simon/Joe. Steve Yvonne

The William Gunn truly exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a dog-friendly pub where we could relax, enjoy good food, and settle into a cosy corner—and this place delivered on all fronts. We were seated in a wonderfully snug spot with warm, dim lighting, and our dog was warmly welcomed with a large bowl of water, which was a lovely touch. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. The only downside was the wait time—it took nearly 50 minutes for our meals to arrive. Because of that, we decided to skip dessert, as we didn’t want to end up spending over three hours there. That said, everything else was excellent, and we’d definitely return (just maybe when we’re not in a rush).

Stylish and pleasant modern pub in Nottingham, close to Trent Bridge Stadium and the river Trent. The pub owners say that they have 2 or 3 cask ales on all the time (see reply), maybe it was too late in the evening (I had just left the Robin Hood Beer Festival) or I didn't look close enough, because I didn't see them. If you're looking for a place to hang out and relax and can abide by mostly lagers on offer, The William Gunn is actually very nice - especially the outside seating area on a mild autumn afternoon. Friendly staff.
