Made a booking on their system, a few hours after my friends had done same and had it confirmed (Hi, We have received your booking for Bombay Bridgford on 14/01/25. Please accept this email as confirmation of your table reservation.).

They took other bookings and then decided they wanted to shorten my reservation to 45 minutes to accomodate someone arriving later and when I queried whether that was sufficient time to be served they said I'd need to pre-order my food.

Suddenly my reservation was like a take away! Clearly not happy with that, but they offered no compensation or other options, then just cancelled booking altogether.

Poor poor service, beware your reservation may NOT be honoured.

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR DISHONEST RESPONSE: I note you don't dispute that your reservation system took and confirmed my booking and that you cancelled it.

Nor do you dispute any of the facts I set out.

But you are dishonest as you suggest I was not polite in every communication. Please do let me know how you suggest I was rude? Didn't happen, but I see now you want to lecture me on planning, when it's your system that accepts reservations with caveats, perhaps plan a better system.

As for threats, please do let me know what this lies pertains to, as you are spreading maliciously. I made no threat, it's an easy throw away line to try to defend yourselves and attempt to make me look bad.

Yes, I asked how you were proposing to compensate me for having taken a booking, reduced it to 45 minutes and then to a pre order.

A priority booking next match, a free drink or round of poppadom for the inconvenience, it's not unreasonable to consider when it's your system and your error that would greatly reduce my experience. But instead you rudely just cancelled my reservation and now choose to spread lies.

We encourage you to consider treating customers with more respect in the future. Perhaps early planning on your reservation system, when you are full, so you don't take further reservations that require people to inhale their food or preorder like...

Popped in to BB after watching Notts’ last league game, it was about 6:00 so fairly quiet. The lady in charge and her staff were very friendly and helpful with food advice. The business have someone who regularly visits India for new recipes and ingredients so there are regular specials on offer. We skipped starters (except for poppadoms) and just had mains. The 4 of us had different dishes & all really enjoyed them. Good to see plenty meals that you wouldn’t usually find, like fish for example. I had a lamb dish - sorry I forget the name but it was the only dish on the menu with a ā€œ3ā€ hotness rating. As the manageress told us, it was indeed hotter than your average Madras (which is my standard choice.) If I’m being picky, I’d suggest they could broaden the heat ratings from 1-5 and offer more in the heat range? There were plenty 1 & 2 ratings (mild & medium) but would be nice to have more options above medium. So maybe score this lamb dish as a 5, and show which mediums are 2, 3 & 4; say where 4 is a typical Madras heat? Anyway, I’d happily visit again and try more of the...

As I work in the Hospitality Industry, I am always asked to recommend Pubs and Restaurants to guests who stay with us, so I have become a bit of a food critic myself. I very much dislike people who take to social media to place a nasty review and biased opinion about a business. They are clearly not in business themselves, because lets face it, we are all different and no matter how hard you try, you can never please everyone. That should always be remembered when reading anything. I believe its highly unprofessional. Our visit was on a rainy Saturday night. However the warm welcome we received on arrival more than made up for the damp and grey day. The restaurant was clean and the food was served hot without any delays. We loved the menu and even though it didn't contain the usual Korma etc, the alternative options were delicious, such a change. I would definitely recommend a visit, if your looking for good food, a relaxed atmosphere at an excellent price and not forgetting the friendly and helpful service. 10/10....

Have dined in and had take away from Bombay West Bridgford. The food is good but very rich. The menu is good for identifying vegan food but not other intolerances, for this you have to speak to someone to verify if a dish contains gluten for example. Take away was prompt and available soon after ordering for collection during lockdown. We were part of a large party in January and the service wasn't as good as it could have been, food not coming out at the same time, missing orders etc hence 4 rather than 5 star. It is more expensive than other places and although good not quite worth the increase in price tag. I'd be happy to order again but it is not somewhere you go for value for money. The menu is also a little difficult to navigate when using a smartphone, especially if you want to alter from delivery to collection

The restaurant is well located in the West Bridgeford area of Nottingham & very close to Trent Bridge international cricket ground. It is very well laid out, comfortable & has a pleasing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful & attentive. My only comment is that my curry (rated at 1 chilli) was far hotter than I expected, very tasty, but I couldn’t quite finish it. I would go again but ask for it to be tempered down a little šŸ‘

A must try - The flavors are well-balanced, and the use of fresh spices truly sets the food apart. The service is friendly and attentive Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeaway, Bombay Bridgford never disappoints us It’s no surprise that this restaurant has remained one of the best Indian eateries in Nottingham for so long. Highly recommended !
