The music hall theatre where Stan Laurel made his stage debut in 1906 is tucked down an alleyway on the corner of Trongate and New Wynd, through a nondescript door and up a flight of stairs. The dark old theatre drips with atmosphere. The walls are lined with beautiful period posters, photographs and pictures of performers who've graced the space. Visitors are free to come in, have a nose around and buy a souvenir or a drink at the licensed bar. The theatre is remarkably still in use today; I only wish we'd visited on a day when we could've caught a performance. Maybe next time.

This has to be one of the best pantomimes ever. Our family had a great day. Hayley (8) and sister Courtney (6) travelled from the East Coast for their 1st pantomime and they had a great time with cousin Macy (7). The cast were fabulous and they made us all laugh. We didn't notice that the hall has no heating, but blankets were available for those who wanted one. Tickets booked for Jack and the Beanstalk 2020. Can't wait.

What a fantastic place full of Glasgow history. One of the gems of Glasgow and well worth a visit if your in Glasgow. Walk down the lane open the grey door just walk up stairs to top level. When you open the door you can just imagine how this place would look full with artists from the time. Lots great historical products on walls its a different from the typical thatres in Glasgow. The images taken April 2018.

Absolute golden find. If you are reading this review, please please please go here and enjoy what is a look into Glasgow of old.

Ideally catch a show but if not just go and marvel at the building. Run by the most amazing people with the greatest of shows on.

This place is living history and I've no idea why they have to struggle to get funding as this is possibly more deserving of money than all the mackintosh gubbins that people fall about loving.

If this building is ever lost then a piece of Glasgow's soul will die and...
