Dons River Enterprise — Attraction in Sheffield

Dear readers, I first found out about Don's River when they had a pop-up in Sheffield Centre to learn all about Jamaica's culture, history, and their food. Since our first interaction, me and my boyfriend fell in love with the food. We searched for ages after first trying it, but we could not find them, as they were only open a few days at the time. Now that they've settled by The Sheaf Pub, it's a relief to know where we can find them every time. We always choose dine in to takeaway, you get the full experience that way♡ Leroy always recognises us and knows what we like, especially me as a vegetarian. He never fails to make us smile, answer our questions, and learn more and more. The food always fills us up in the best way. I can't have Coleslaw without one spice anymore, nor is it the same from the shops instead of homemade. Leroy likes to keep us guessing, new flavours and ingredients, but the same original and historic recipe. It is never boring nor the same. Whether it is more vegetables or added dumplings or wraps, it has evolved so much since we first went. It's a lovely journey to be a part of. AMAZING EXPERIENCE TIME AFTER TIME! Eaten from here a couple of times, the food is always perfection. Caters for everyone with different spice mixes giving different levels of heat- just let them know how hot you can handle and they will cater to you! Great flavours, generous portion sizes and a very fair price. Staff friendly always and a huge bonus is you can buy the spices to take home and try and recreate those great dishes for yourself! A random find on just eat. Decided to drive there so feel out the vibe. The chef was really nice, let me have a taster of the mutton which I’m definitely going back for. Had 2x pulled chicken meals and a fish meal.
