Read moreI love this blue flag (2021) beach. It is vast so great for children to run around safely and plenty of room for French cricket and ball games. The beach slopes gently so perfect for family swims. There are usually waves for jumping and often big waves too for a bit of body or actual surfing. There is a hire shop for boards and wet suits. The rock pools are wonderful places to explore and it even has it's own Egyptian sphinx - just me! Everone else calls it The lion. I used to climb to the top when I was a kid looking at it now I wouldn't let my child climb it, crazy dangerous. There's choices of pubs, cafes and ice cream. Read moreBroadhaven beach was simply outstanding and surrounded by some picturesque landscape. If you're staying at Broadhaven Caravan site then it's only a 5 minute walk or so. There is a carpark located across the road which charges but I'm not sure how much it is as I didn't use it. The beach is quite expansive when the tide is out and it offers a lovely walk to Little Haven which is about 20 minutes away. There a lots of little crabbing areas in the rock pools when the tide is out as well. Even on the sunny days when I expected it to be busy it honestly was not and you will not struggle to get a spot on the beach. There is also a little park nearby which is ideal for little ones. On the beach front there a some shops, ice cream parlours and a restaurant. Beautiful little...
