Terrible Experience: Rude Manager, Late Arrival, Poor Quality Food, and Unprofessional Service

One star! The manager was incredibly rude and arrogant. No apologies or compensation for the bad service, just a bunch of excuses. We felt humiliated and it seemed like a tourist trap because they didn't care if we never came back.

To make matters worse, they kept coming back to inform us that several dishes, including some fish options, were no longer available long after we had placed our order. This left us scrambling to find less desirable alternatives from the menu. The lack of communication and foresight on their part was highly disappointing.

Not only that, when we expressed our frustration about the constant changes and the excessive waiting time, the manager's response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager callously told us, "You can leave if you want?" How could we? We had already been waiting in the restaurant for over an hour and a half, and it was already very late.

This entire experience was an utter letdown. From the manager's rude behavior and lack of concern to the late arrival of our food, poor quality dishes, and the unprofessional response to our disappointment, has shown a complete disregard for their customers.

I strongly advise against wasting your time and money at. There are plenty of other establishments that prioritize customer satisfaction and provide a more enjoyable...

I knew this was my kinda place when I nipped in for a coffee one day.. It has a lovely fish menu and great shell fish. They also do the popular classics.. Steak, Burger, Chicken, Lasagne.. but I was interested in the fish.

We did start with a large starter to share which was Breast of Duck with Berries, and a Salad with Dressing; great starter, very tasty.

I had the half a Lobster with Prawns Garlic Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables. Was slightly concerned as it's late winter, but the restranter reassured me the local fisherman they source their lobster from keeps what he catches in a tank, so they're always fresh and not frozen. The mixed veg was lovely, sweet potato, French beans, and roasted parsnips and carrots. The garlic sauteed potatoes were swimming in proper garlic butter which came in handy for every part of the dish. My friend had a classic Fish and Chips. The batter on the fish was lovely, it was a great size fillet, the chips tasted as though they were triple cooked; they were sooo crispy. And it came with a lovely home made tartare sauce.

Then the home made puddings, I had an Apple and Cinnamon Crumble with custard and ice cream which was on the sweet side but cooked beautifully. My friend had a Chocolate Flake Cheesecake which was a lovely consistency and light flavour.

To sum up it was all really yummy, and the service was great. The prices were very competitive. Will call back again for...

Me and my fiancé went here for Sunday brunch, it was busy in there, we were lucky to get a seat by the table looking at the sea. There are a few group tables and tables that sit two with more seating out towards the back near the bar. There are a couple of benches outside the front. Parking is available at the side of the cafe if not other car parks in broad haven.

They serve breakfast till 12 (Sundays at 11:30) as they do Sunday lunch. Lunches are served between 12&3 I think and evening meals from 5-8 and the bar opens around 8pm. Ice-creams served all day. Tea,coffee, cakes served all day.

Staff seem welcoming enough but they also seemed stressed when it gets busy , you can see this and hear them tell each other about their day. But this aside they were polite enough to us and food served quick.

I had a sausage cob(£3.00) which was decent enough next time think I'll ask for tomatoes in it too as sausages weren't as "meaty" as I was expecting but everyone is different. My fiance had a full English(£10.95 as he had an extra sausage and bacon( which he was impressed with. And a pot of tea for 2 (£4.00)

Dogs are allowed. Wheelchair and pushchair accessible with a slight bump going in the door but should be fine. Toilets...

We came across this cafe purely by chance whilst house hunting in the area. It has a 5 rating for cleanlinesses and hygiene which is always a plus for my wife. Staff were really friendly and polite. Ordering is a little strange as we had to order food at one part of the establishment and then go to a different part to order the drinks. Would be a plus if both could have been ordered together. My wife ordered fish and chips which was cooked fresh and was the largest battered fish she had ever seen/had (in fairness I had never seen a portion so big either before!). The fish was the whole length of the silver platter it was served in. If ordering this I would say it would be enough for two people rather than one. It was delicious my wife said although she couldn’t finish it and only a few bones. I ordered a sandwich which was served on bloomer bread which for me was a little too thick (I have an illness with difficulty swallowing though). Would definitely return if in the area and the sea view is a bonus (although it was a little choppy when we visited). I used the toilet whilst in the restaurant which takes you past the kitchen and glancing in Ai could see it was very clean.
