This small but excellent beach is absolutely spot on. We were staying at the nearby Little Haven retreat campsite so could manage the two mile walk down with relative ease and even threw in a short loop along the coastal path where the scenery was stunning, well worth the extra work involved. The beach was among the best I've been on, I suggest you sit to the right as you look from the shore as the left soon becomes shaded in the afternoon. As the tide goes out the rock-pools are excellent, if you round the headland to the right at lower tides there is a very deep well shaped rock-pool that had lots of small fish in, then theres a deep cave and plenty of rocks for climbing which the kids loved. If you completely round the headland theres a very private and lovely beach that can't be accessed any other way, watch the tide doesn't cut you off though. If you round the left hand headland there's some deep water surrounded by rocks, excellent for snorkeling and diving. Back at the beach there are two splendid pubs, The Castle has the sun all day and the better view, but The Swan is a better pub for my money and you can sit on the beach wall with your pint and the view is as good. This little beach has become one of my favourites and I hope to...
Read moreLovely cove to visit clean beaches nice food places and dog friendly. Re visited again this year (3rd year 2018) and the little village and cove are such a delightful experience. As the cove is literally at the base of the very steep valley it's picturesque. Houses and cottages are really quaint and dotted up both hill sides. One thing I do keep noticing is the lack of this "must build houses "syndrome the village remains the same no added shops nor arcades. It's an amazing little Un spoilt oldie world picturesque village, small beach and rocks to each side. But a real step back in time, and well worth conquering those very steep windy single track roads to get down to the cove. A must is to climb the very steep coastal path to get a birds eye view of the entire village and cove.(paths are steep altho wheelchair access to a short way up the hill side giving a very good overall view of the village and cove) A delight and pleasure to visit for...

It is very small... But I like that. If you want more sand, then visit the impressive Broad haven a...
