This is beautiful City Beach but there are two main problems : 1) there's NO facilities! Especially toilets are necessary! (There is just ONE next to Secret Beach Bar what is kind a joke for 3miles stretch sandy beach!) 2) people should (with more bins provided by council) keep the area tidy and bin all rubbish after themselves 3) could be nice to have some fish & chips shop on the corner or ice cream parlour (the closest ones are in the Marina district = not nearby!) . As a dream could be nice to see some, Food Trucks zones, markets (seafood?) Or other events in on prom.
Overall fantastic place for relax, such a crown of City with a outstanding view over the Bay - from Portcawl through Mumbles up to Ilfracombe. With LEGENDARY annual events such as WALES AIRSHOW 🛩️or BONFIRE NIGHT FIREWORKS 🎆
Brill spot for a weekend, barbecue, doggie (winter season!) walk, or romantic...

From foreshore car park, you can go onto the beach and walk right across to mumbles, but be careful, you need to stick to the sand as the mud is not nice to walk in. You can see the sand banks very clearly and I would advise to stick your walking only on these areas. And be sure to check tide times as it comes in very fast. You can google these and are updated everyday, for low tide and high tide, please remember that, they are at both...
Read moreVisited on July at hot wave weekend. Nice sandy place that's why water is always looking kinda sandy due to the waves. It is common problems of UK beaches. It is located by city that's why beach turned into a public bath. So mostly crowded with various types of people from early age to oldest. No lockers around if you're going to by yourself your mind stuck with the things you just left on the beach whilst swimming. If you're just looking for getting cool and not mind many people around, that'll be okay for you. If not you need to drive more as the Wales have lots of beach...
