Bay View — Restaurant in Wales

I would have given 5 stars as the service + food was outstanding. The only reason l didn't give the 5 stars was due to the fact the price of the 2 course set menu had gone up but was still advertised outside + on the menu as being the original price. Don't get me wrong the meal is still exceptional value for money at £9.99 but when it's advertised at £7.99 that's the price people expect to pay. I understand they most probably didn't have time to get new menus + signs but they could have either placed a note on each table or placed a few posters around explaining. Ideally we should have been told this whilst being handed the menu. For anyone overly worried about eating out since C-19, the hygiene here seemed second to none. The friendly + polite young man who served us took our menu away + put it in a separate box away from the other menus + when he had a quiet 5 minutes he was cleaning all the laminated menus out of the box thoroughly with disinfectant. The ladies toilets had every other cubicle + sink blocked off by tape so you can tell they are taking this extremely seriously unlike most places l go lately! Apart from the pricing issue the staff are fantastic + very polite + the food is so tasty l could eat it every day. I had the fishcakes to start + the mixed meat + prawn hot curry (sorry can't remember the name of it) with noodles..... Absolutely stunning + my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The decor is old fashioned + looks in need of a refurb but please don't let this put you off as it's highly recommended + the Sunday set menu is exceptional value for money + tastes stunning too. Well done to all...

We booked the Bay View as a venue for our wedding reception and it was perfect. Fran (the manager) met with us before the day and accommodated any suggestions or requests that we had, as well as making helpful suggestions to make the day as smooth as possible. We had a lot of things such as decorations/disco lights that required set-up and when we got to the venue everything was in place and looked amazing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful on the day and the service was fantastic.

We had a 2 course Thai meal for our day guests (starter, main and tea/coffee service), followed by a buffet for the evening guests, all of the food was great, and the staff accommodated people's requests, for example being able to provide more mild dishes in case a dish was too spicy! The buffet was a mixture of Thai food e.g. satay/spring rolls and sandwiches/pastries.

Overall we felt like the venue went above and beyond to make the day as perfect as possible, and we'd highly recommend it as a venue for any party/event.

Thai food was not something we were looking for on a Sunday afternoon stroll along Swansea's Sea front. Indeed, we headed towards the Secret Bar although the queue of people outside waiting to get in out of the cold put us off. Even on the walk back to the Bay View, we were not exactly motivated to go in, but in all honesty, we were glad we did.

We haven't been to the Bay View in years. The place itself hasn't changed much, but is welcoming. The food was great and aactually a welcome change to a burger or baguette. Spicy chicken in garlic, and another chicken dish in sweet chilli sauce with crispy wantons was lovely and very much welcome on a cold a blustery afternoon.

I dont think we will be so quick to dismis this...
