Visited last Friday
There was nothing wrong with the food and had it been reasonably priced i doubt i would have bothered reviewing as it just does what it says on the tin
My biggest gripe being the fact a party of two people were charged nearly £40 for what was a very basic meal
we had two basic curry dishes , one portion of chips and two naan breads and two drinks
They charged something like £7 for a bottle of larger
Infact looking across the bill the entire thing seemed to have a lot of rounding up on it
My suspicion's were further raised when i went to the toilet there was no hot water in the tap to wash my hands and no electricity being supplied to the drier
Now i know its been a tough time for the restaurant industry and a lot have faced serious financial challenges but there's only so much you can pass onto customers before eyebrows start getting raised
I mean we are in a backstreet in Swansea not central London at absolute most i would have expected this meal to cost maybe £25-30 and thats what it would have cost 2 years ago so where has the extra cost come from ?
This sort of inflation seems to be rife at the moment across industries and i personally am refusing to take part in it any longer i'd rather...
Read moreMyself and my partner visited Rose last Saturday for our date night and we were not dissatisfied... As we entered a lovely lady offered to take my partners wet umbrella and then showed us to a lovely table for 2. We chose our drinks and they were served very quickly followed by a pompadoms and chutney tray appetizer which was very nice. After around 10 minutes we were ready to order and our waiter came and was very friendly with us, I ordered the Spicy Fish Masala with vegetable rice and my partner ordered the Chicken Korma with plain rice and chips to share, for sides we had onion bhajis and garlic naan bread, all if which was absoluetly delightful. Our food was was served very hot and the texture of the dishes was creamy, thick and bursting with flavor. The waiters promptly checked in on us a couple of times, checking how everything was doing and if we were okay for drinks which we ordered some more of. Overall our experience was very comfortable and possitivly enjoyable. Would definately recommend...
Read moreI called to check they actually close at 12 as some Indian restaurant say they do but in fact don't. The restaurant accommodated my collection time of 11.55 (5 mins before closing) The service was great. The food was a bit of a wait even when I pre ordered 45 mins before. The food, lamb bhuna was great took me back to my childhood with the smell and taste. Last time i tasted a curry this good was in the 90's in a west London council estate as a child. Being from a bangladeshi background i was impressed. I would give it a 5 star or even 4 star if the onion bhaji was average. But what let it down was uncooked onion bhaji. Hopefully it's a one off. Maybe next time will it be ok and I will...
