Our group of five motorcyclists had a stay at the Beachcomber Bed and Breakfast and here's our candid review.
Beachcomber B&B, set in an older building, has a charm to it. Despite its age, the place is kept clean and provides a simple but comfortable stay. Its prime location right on the beachfront offers guests direct access to the beach, a big plus for sea-lovers.
The pricing, at around £50 per night, felt quite reasonable considering what the B&B offers. Breakfast at the Beachcomber was a simple, freshly prepared affair. It might not be for those looking for a gourmet breakfast experience, but it did give us a good start to our day.
One aspect that might need considering is the noise level. The B&B is situated close to a rather busy street, which could get quite loud, especially during the day. However, for us, the convenience of the location and the charm of the beachfront view balanced it out.
A definite highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality extended by the proprietors. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed.
Overall, we'd give the Beachcomber B&B a solid four-star rating. It provides a comfortable, clean, and simple beachfront stay, with the added bonus of friendly hosts and convenient parking. However, do consider the potential noise from the nearby street. If that's not a deal-breaker for you, then the Beachcomber B&B could be...
Read moreStayed here for 2 days while visiting someone in prison. Its only 5 minute walk in a straight line so was a perfect match. It was only me and i had a single room which the bed was alongside the window which faced the beach across the road. It was perfect and i spent a nice bit of time just watching out window. Was so lovely too to have window open with the sea air coming in. Slept like a log. Room and toilet down hall but was no problem and the price if the room was so good. The owners were just the nicest people i have met in a long time, the breakfast was outstanding and refills of most things offered frequently. I really felt welcomed and valued. The decor was from older times but being from older times i loved this. I would highly recommended this warm welcoming B and B. Just faultless and will return if need to come again most definatley. Word of advice tho, avoid the black cabs at the train station as they do nothing to promote making tourists welcome. A certain driver was just rude and unfreindly . Use...
Read moreThis ia a lovely modest but comfortable guest house located just outside Swansea, access to the town centre in around 10 minutes by foot, and closeby to public transport links. The bedrooms are very nicely decorated, beds are comfortable and most rooms have en-suite facilities. The breakfast is superb, with cereal, toast, fruit juices, tea and coffee and a full cooked breakfast, you leave feeling charged and ready for the day ahead. Richard & Debbie are excellent hosts, who couldnt do more to make your stay more enjoyable. One minor downside, in the front bedrooms you face the main road which can be busy and noisy if your window is open but you get used to it. The prices for a room are extremely reasonable for those on a budget, and for what you get I would doubt you could find better in the local area. Overall this is a great place to consider for anyone...
