3rd time visit, atmosphere always good and I'm lucky to have the best company because they seem to have an issue with draught beer: San Miguel and Estrella always tasting funny and flat. Having worked in catering for a number of years makes you think whether they even clean the lines or change the gas so often..
Twice I've been given a chipped or dirty pint glass and staff seems to be double checking the glass is actually 'faulty and dangerous' (like rubbing the finger against the chipped glass instead of just looking at it- what an accident on the making) when returning to the bar for a change of glass. They also mentioned having an 'ongoing' issue with the taps, one day being fine and the next being funny... Well, should we maybe get it sorted or maybe stop selling flat beer? This is been happening for we'll over a year now, I'm surprised they don't get more complaints.
Also so many staff around all the time, but they seem to take their time acknowledging customers and kept people waiting at the bar while they finish their little chats on the side... Not very good customer service I must say, it wasn't even busy on our last visit today on a Saturday afternoon, however when I went back to the bar raising my issues I felt a little bit of an inconvenient for them.
Maybe some training or refresher needed and some empathy to be learn towards customers. I'm not one to write reviews but here you go, couldn't keep it silenced.
Let this be the first of many, hopefully awesome...
Read moreBooked The Wro Loft for my baby shower last weekend. The staff on the lead up to the event were great, they showed me around the space, gave me all the information Iâd need & answered all the questions I had. I kept in touch via email, filling in all their planning pack so they had the correct information for my event. They even accommodated adding lower tables for my elderly guests which was great. We had afternoon tea which everyone fully enjoyed, the staff that were stationed upstairs with us for the event were amazing (didnât manage to get their names) but they were very attentive, making sure I was happy with everything throughout & serving all my guests copious amounts of tea and coffee along with any other drinks from behind the bar. The afternoon tea was all freshly made & the cakes were all amazing, only the scone let it down as it was a bit tough and not much filling (I prefer to add my own cream & jam). The only other thing I would suggest would be to have a knife & spoon for each guest as I had to use my tea spoon to eat the meringue (which was incredible đ) and then again to cut my scone in half. But all in all, such a lovely space to have any event, I wouldnât hesitate to use...
Read moreSerious disappointment. Clearly they think they're better than they are.
The flavours were good, but the execution terrible. The bread with the soup was solid and when mentioned there was an "oh sorry" - admittedly with a smile, but no effort to rectify or compensate. The pastry round the spring rolls were far too thick, the onion rings with the burgers were hard and full of fat to the point of being inedible and the chips were greasy and massively over salted. The chicken burger itself was quite decent and succulent, though the beef burger was grainy and tasteless.
And all served on black slate. Seriously, what's wrong with plates!
You might think it would do better with the drinks (its advertised awards would suggest so), but the only ale available was ice cold Jennings (tasteless nothingness) as the IPA wasn't on, and the Prosecco was served with a strawberry in the glass (WHY? It's a glass of wine, not a cocktail, not a Kir Royale and a Bellini!).
All in all, I've had a better chicken burger and chips with onion rings in a KFC and for a fifth of the price and a tenth of the pretension. ...
