If I could rate this branch a zero I would. I went into the store today against better judgment, cold wet outside, should have just stayed home and gone to Walmart tomorrow. Went with a friend and my one year old son who was playing with a ball while We were doing self check out. Anyway friend and I used separate kiosks, my machine said remove card, I removed it, put baby in cart, returned the ball to employee because I wasn’t buying it and we walked out to the car. I packed groceries in the car, returned my cart to the cart return and even returned a cart that was in the parking lot. As I return to my car to leave, I see some guy is taking pictures of my license plate. I say excuse me, what are you doing? He says nothing then proceeds to walk towards the store. I followed him still saying excuse me, i followed him into the store to report that some guy/ customer took a picture of my license plate and I wanted to report him because I didn’t understand why. As I walk in the employee Jarred who works at the kiosk tells him that is her. Apparently I didn’t complete my transaction and this was the manager Jessie who came out to take a picture of my license plate. I completed the transaction after I was told what happened but If you believe I stole something or whatever It may be, you say something to me as I’m leaving the store. Neither my friend or I heard anyone trying to get our attention. As a manager you don’t take a picture of my car. I am pregnant and I have a child with me. I ask you a question and you don’t address me. That fact that you had to confirm who I was showed you weren’t even sure I was the right person. I think it was racist because I had on African attire, braids etc. Had I come in with my scrubs or looking professional I’m sure things would have gone differently. After calling corporate I’m told this was not protocol and not how things are usually handled. I won’t penalize the store or Branch because of ignorance but Jessie, be a good example to your employees and not make snap judgments about people. If you didn’t know your behavior was racist, IT WAS. If the employee had enough time to call you, describe me and you met me in the parking lot couldn’t you assume it was a mistake? My customer ID was on the screen. If I was stealing would you have had time for all the above to happen and I’m in the parking lot returning a shopping cart. Think about it. Treat others the way you want to be treated....

I bought some energy drinks from this specific store and I trashed the receipt however I needed to exchange them and get a different flavor. Manager Johnathan told me the policy is you MUST have the receipt in order to return or exchange an item I asked him why isn’t he following the company policy and his direct words were that is the company policy. As I pulled up the policy online he didn’t even care to view it. He informed me to come back to the store when the book keeper is at work and I just don’t see HOW you can ask a customer to come back when they’re already in the store to me it shows a lack of judgement because you don’t know when that customer is able to come back due to their schedule.
I called and spoke to the store manager Christopher Knaus, and he informed me the policy is you must have the receipt and it is up to manager discretion to return items.
I just don’t understand how these guys are managers in my opinion they should be retrained and held accountable for not following company policy. But since they’re not aware of the policy I’ll teach them per the Kroger official return policy which is available online.
Returns without a receipt:
Over $10.00 will receive a Kroger Co. Family of Stores Merchandise Gift Card. The return slip must be signed by all customers with returns over $10.00 Under $10.00 the customer will receive cash for...
Read moreThis store has such friendly, exceedingly helpful staff! Barbara, Edwin, Marcus, Sharon, Scott, plus Victoria and all the pharmacy staff make my days better!
I'm particularly grateful for the personal service the pharmacy offers. It feels like I'm working with a small town pharmacy, thanks to how attentive, diligent, and proactive the pharmacy staff are in managing my medicine. I rave about this pharmacy to all of my doctors!
It's also worth noting that this Kroger not only has an extremely low staff turnover rate (I've been seeing the same staff for years!), but they also clearly utilize diversity hiring practices. As a disabled person myself, I'm happy to see multiple disabled people on staff, something that, to be frank, many retail operations eschew. Combined with the ethnic diversity among staff, it makes this Kroger feel very representative of the community it serves and tells me that my needs will matter to this store's staff.
In this current climate of economic and cultural division in our country, I feel much better about shopping at a store that treats their staff well. That's why I notice little things, like the way they permit staff to wear coats while working registers near the door. It may seem like a minor issue. But a business that cares more about visible uniforms than the health and wellbeing of their employees is a business that cares more about appearances than what's right or wrong. That's why I appreciate the many indicators I see of this Kroger treating their staff fairly.
Thank you,...
