Got the shrimp and rice combo. The shrimp was definitely good. Overall all, ehhh. Service wasn’t the best either. Walked in, (wasn’t busy at all), but person at the register wasn’t the friendliest; wasn’t rude either, but could tell they weren’t happy. I stood at the counter awkwardly after I ordered because I wasn’t sure what to do next afterwards. I did tell the person taking my order that it was my first time so I needed a bit more time with the menu, but yeaaaaaaa, I don’t think I’ll be going back nor recommend(but hey just because it’s not for me, doesn’t mean it won’t be for you). Not to mention, once I asked for a water cup, I had to ask where everything was and again, not the best response when I asked.

The atmosphere at F&F Japanese Grill is welcoming and modern, with a touch of traditional Japanese decor that adds to the overall dining experience. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Overall, my dining experience at F&F Japanese Grill was outstanding. The combination of excellent food quality, attentive service, and a pleasant ambiance makes it a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit.

“Imagine an angry hibachi chef” It’s like one of those weeknight meals you’d smush together if you were alone and still had work to do and didn’t feel like doing it. “Here-I’ll throw in these leftover gyoza,” you’d say. It contains some sort of bottled Asian section of Tom Thumb sugar sauce in there to give you an immediate surge that scoops you up but then carries you to bed. Nothing unique- if this is representative of a “paradigm shift in Japanese food” then I choose vegetables, I guess.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE NEW RESTAURANT.

  • Ignore the 1 star reviews. That one guy thrives off of leaving negative reviews for local businesses. *

Seriously, though. I don't know how they do it. But I'm addicted ever since my one coworker introduced me. Queue the next day. We're all "joking" about ordering Fast Furious again... except we weren't. So we all ordered it again. Then I got it a few days later for lunch. Then we all got it the next week for lunch. Now I'm eating it for lunch, having distributed the great ambrosia that is Fast Furious to my girlfriend, who is clearly now a baptized disciple.

Can't speak to the in-house dining experience as I've done all pickup or delivery.

AS FOR THE GLORIOUS FOOD... The protein is always quality meat (not that dark gray, questionable chicken for instance) and I kid you not, my coworker and I were even pondering if they give you too much. Needless to say, they don't skimp. I eat my hibachi as presented but they have an array of sauces they'll provide if you want a little more flavor. The meal itself is easily enough for 2 portions, but none of us can ever help but devour the entire thing in 1 sitting.

It's. Just. That. Good.

Update: Still my favorite! The one in Irving is good but this location is definitely the...

I stop by June 29th requested my usual, shrimp & steak combo with rice/ veggies no noodles with a side of FRESH dumplings (not the dumplings that’s been sitting out)The Asian guy with the red bandanna scarf say” they are fresh” I said no they not (we all can tell when something been sitting out) he say ok I’ll bring it with your food .. fast forward I get my food and notice the dumplings were warm not HOT I didn’t make a big deal I ate them went on about my day . . TODAY July 26 7:06 I order my usual as requested and the same guy is by the register, however he had Chiunkan(Idk the correct spelling) take my order and he states “the dumplings are fresh we cook every 30 minutes “ I said if I’m spending my money with y’all or any establishment I expect great service you want your customers to come back . My thing is the food is great but why not make FRESH dumplings upon request, don’t have them sitting out nobody want COLD food . So I didn’t get my dumplings because he wanted to drop them back in the grease ewww yuck instead of making me FRESH ones so I decline and making it aware to others they do not make great dumplings just have them sitting out or will drop them back in the grease which will be...

Disappointing. I got the chicken and noodle with cabbage only for veggie. It was all cooked nicely, maybe a little oily on the noodle/cabbage and a little dry on the chicken but that can be chalked up to personal preference. Unfortunately, after a few bites I had to look up what kind of restaurant this actually was because there was not any flavor besides grease, cooked chicken, and charred cabbage. No garlic, onion, ginger, soy sauce, or any seasoning at all. Not even pepper. Nothing. The 2 sauces it came with were a weird orange mayo (no flavor besides tangy mayo) and a sweet tabasco sauce. Mixed together was alright but.... not Asian. Definitely not Japanese. If it just had even just a splash of soy it would be tasty, but just grease flavor makes it hard to eat. Online pictures, looking at their menu, and reviews lead me to believe this is Asian-looking food for people that hate Asian flavor. Insane to discover they are franchised with many locations in a metroplex with a high Asian population. Do not recommend unless you have a picky kid that...
