OMG! PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY DOWN. So, last week I had two incidences, one where they wouldn't answer the phone so I can place my order, I called for 20 minutes straight and ended up walking inside to get my order...I complained and was given a free bagel by the manager, I think, whoever it was he's from New Jersey and is very nice and understanding. He suggested I download the app and place my order there next time. Next day, same thing, but this time when I am 5 minutes from the place someone finally answers...female, we review my order 3 times, it was just an everything bagel, sliced, NOT toasted, cream cheese on the side...I repeat everything 3 times, by the time I am done, I am exhausted and say "Jesus Christ" at the end of our conversation to which she answers "Is our Lord and Savior" . Same New Jersey person was there again when I picked up my order, and he once again he gave me a free bagel because he actually heard her take my order and knew what had happened. I kid-you-not, she still got my order wrong. TODAY, I call again for 20 minutes straight, again, no one answers. I walk in and complain about no one answering the phone, New Jersey person is not there today, and guess who takes my order? Yep, same Jesus Christ lady from last week. She tells me they are too busy to answer the phone, I roll my eyes and giver her my order. I tell her they must do a better job about answering the phone. She then asks me if I went to church, I answered "do you"? She tells me something to the effect of how my behavior is un Jesus like. I answered what does Jesus have to do with my order, and, she walks away. I wait ten minutes, still no bagel, I ask where it is, she says it will come out when it comes out. I have an Asian lady standing right next to me hearing and witnessing everything. The "Jesus" woman then mumbles under the breath "don't come back". Asian lady standing next to me says "did she just say what I think she said", I said yes, to which Asian lady says, "I work in retail, I would have been fired on the spot if I told that to a customer". We both ask to see the manager, the supervisor comes out, says manager or asst manager is busy in the back. She was very nice and did her best to de-escalate the situation, we told her her "Jesus" lady should not be in a customer service position, if she cannot handle the stress/volume of it. She said Jesus lady was feeling a bit overwhelmed, and again, I was given a free bagel. I wonder what will...
Read moreI know I went in at about 5:30 5:40 in the morning, but being ignored by almost every person in there, not to say that one or two people did not have the common courtesy of saying good morning, but the lady I walked past filling up someone's coffee decanter, totally ignored me and just kind of stared at me and then looked away when I said good morning to her. Very rude. Secondly I literally stood there for almost 10 minutes staring at the menu and looking at the bagels waiting for someone to come up and ask me what product or items I would like to select and nothing. As I turn and walk away I'm asked are you ready to order sir, well of course I was ready to order but I continued walking out and just left. I totally get your busy and trying to get things working but if you're not there early enough to have everything ready to rock and roll, then perhaps you need to adjust your hours. Because what we have is p155 pour management and servers. You're in a customer service field, you need to be on top of that. When someone comes in, give them maybe 60 seconds to kind of look over the menu real quick, then ask him if they're ready to order or if they have any questions at minimum. Because I came in there to buy a couple of dozen bagels, and also to find out If gluten-free bagels were available at this location. If so I was going to take some home to my wife for a nice surprise given that she has a limited diet thanks to celiac. Definitely will not be going back to this location as a customer. And hopefully the company I work for is not stupid enough to order from this particular location. Anyway, on my way to a donut shop to get a couple of dozen donuts and sausage rolls for the people at work. Too bad, everyone brags about Einstein bagels, and I don't...
Read moreEvery time I go into this particular Einstein's my order is wrong. This isn't an every so often occurrence or a mistake made by the same employee, it is different mistakes made by different employees almost every time I go in there. Which is quite a few, seeing as I go there for breakfast or lunch almost every single day. I order the same thing every time I go as well. I'm talking about having it wrong 8 or 9 times within the last two weeks... so i decided it was time to say something. I very rarely have them fix my order,I just returned from there today, after having them correct my order, and the person working there spoke to me in a very hostile tone. My coffee order was wrong too, but I did not have her correct that, I just really wanted the sandwich I ordered. I'd drink the unsweetened regular latte, even though I was charged for a vanilla hazelnut latte. She made the sandwich wrong again, even though, when asked, I told her exactly how to make it. I did not have her fix it again, seeing as she practically shoved the thing in my face. There is another Einstein's that I also frequent because I work right across the street, over off Park in Plano, and the service there is exceptional. My order is always right, and out in a timely manner. I also go there multiple times a week. I order the same things there that I order at the restaurant over here, so I know that it is not my error that is causing a mix up every time I order at the Addison restaurant. My conclusion would be that this particular restaurant needs to invest in employee training on their menu and in customer service, and have more experienced team members as well as managers around during all shifts to help the newer employees and answer their questions, as well as keep the...
