REGAL 8 HAS DISLOYAL EMPLOYEES! On the night of September 14 2018 I Curtis Harley and my lady attended "White Boy Rick" 9:55 showing and my wallet accidentally fell out my cargo shorts. Movie was over about 11:57-12...I left my wallet in screening room 6, I rushed back up there and the staff was gone but the cleaning guys were there. The guy told me due to the time and no management there he couldn't let me in so he looked in screening room 6 to find my wallet but found nothing. He finally let me in also and we both looked and found nothing. So I went home disappointed and scared cause important info was in my wallet like ss card, credit card, debit card and buisness cards etc. only to return to the movies to find it in their parking lot the next morning with all my money gone, over $300. Where the wallet was found was no where near where me and my lady parked. I spoke with a guy named Jason and the GM Amy Wilson and I was told they reviewed surveillance footage and seen suspicious activity from their 2 employees that cleaned that screening room after movie was over. No other customers were there, just employees. I got contacted by liberty mutual only to be told they can't do anything. I was like wow even with the manager basically saying they see something going on fishy on the video. That's enough to hold a job meeting to alert your workers that a customer money came up missing so you can see who the guilty party is. For them to tell me THEY CAN'T DO NOTHING IS WRONG! Me and my lady have been going to Regal 8 for years since childhood and we are 31 now and after this we will NEVER be going back again because the trust has been broken and they have disloyal employees. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE THE ISSUE RIGHT AND SATISFY THE CUSTOMER SOME TYPE OF WAY LIKE FREE MOVIES FOR A YEAR OR SOMETHING! "THERE IS NO TRUST AT REGAL 8 CINEMAS IN AIKEN SC" Really broke my heart. I just wish they showed they care about the customer a lot more. WE ARE DONE WITH THEM AND I AM SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT...
Read moreWorst experience. I really felt profiled. Honestly to explain in a nonhateful or discriminating way. I was home on leave from the military. Its almost tradition on both sides of my family to catch a movie together, but my experience here was awful. Here's what it was like.
I purchased 4 tickets a few hours early to take myself and my kid nephew and nieces to see a film. Only to avoid the lines and to get snacks and a good seat. Staff at the ticket booth were great with service.
Hours later upon arrival with family. We met additional members that had just arrived that got tickets. Proceeding to check in at the ticket checkin. Standing in line with DOZENS of other folks ahead and behind us. This lady (i assume manager was in a different uniform, name unknown) comes from behind the ticket booth with a walkie talkie and directly approaches me with an aggressive attitude and asks to check my tickets and purse(8x6 cross body purse small enough for a phone and/or tablet).
With small blanket in hand I show her without hesitation or question. I dont know if she was trying to help with the long line or what, but she only checked me and walked away. That was weird.
My tickets were legit and I didn't have anything unauthorized. Was all this really necessary.
I REALLY FELT PROFILED. What do you think? Comments?
Pros: commute is reasonable but not worth the hassle or interrogation. I am a REGAL card holder, so I don't mind. Parking is ok. Theater is in a great location.
Great for older couples, small groups and kids.
Cons: after my experience I felt like I was being constantly watched by the same lady, she came again and did theater safety rounds mid-movie. i didn't really get to enjoy the movie.
Is aiken regal really struggling that bad with sales or competition? Maybe they should upgrade?
Bathrooms always smell and are out of tissue.
Theatres are always too small that the exit signs brightens the entire room during lights out
not enough sound proof installation. Needs...
Read moreWent with the whole family to see Angel Has Fallen. An action movie with almost zero nudity or bad language. They said my six-year-old couldn't go in he had to be 7. So he and I said that's okay we'll stay in the lobby and play video games while the rest of the family sees the movie. Then after we got tokens we realized that none of the games were for small children either. And the only kid movie playing was Lion King and it didn't start until 10:30 at night. It was the only showing. While I do enjoy going to the movies, I would not recommend this theater for small children. I don't have a problem with the rules. Okay he's 9 months too young to go in. But he was with his legal guardian, me, and there were no alternatives so that he could have a good time. Spoke with the manager. I was friendly. She was indifferent. She told me I should have gone to the theater the day before and that they are just taken most of the kid movies down. When I asked her why they would have a one-time showing at 10:30 of Lion King, she Shrugged her shoulders. There was a young man who was an usher. He was terrific! Wish I would have gotten his name. He was the only saving grace to the whole theater. He took the time to try to cheer my boy up. He even went to his car and got a few rubber duckies to give to my Isaiah. Other than that this theater is super clean and has ample seating. Also has lots of options for older...
