The Akron Art Museum was the perfect wedding venue. My wife and I chose them as our venue in July ‘23, and were married in September of ‘24. Once we chose them as our venue, they gave lists of preferred caterers and recommended vendors in the area, which made our planning process a lot easier. There were some staffing changes because we had a long engagement, but Ellie, Cydney, and Becca were all wonderful to work with as events managers and made the transition in positions extremely smooth for us. Guests LOVED the museum, as the ceremony was in the garden, and then they were able to hang out on the terrace and explore the exhibits during cocktail hour. The lobby was a gorgeous venue for dinner and dancing, and our entrance on the grand staircase was unforgettable. We truly could not have chosen a better venue. Thank you so much to all the events staff at the Art Museum for making our wedding day so wonderful!! (photos by Jessica Lee Photography)

The Akron Art Museum is NE Ohio's best wedding venue! Every aspect of our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to Ellie and her team. Ellie was super responsive to all of our questions while during the planning process, and her and her team ensured our event was executed flawlessly. The lobby and gardens are so beautiful and picture perfect, you hardly need to decorate! Our guests also loved getting to view the galleries during cocktail hour. Using the Akron Art Museum for your wedding, or next event, will truly wow your guests!! I would highly recommend having your next event here as the AAM team will go above and beyond to make your day so special! Photos by Bethany Zadai Photography

I cannot express how grateful I am to the amazing wedding event coordinators at the Akron Art Museum! Katie and Sarah are awesome and helped my husband and me plan the most perfect wedding ceremony. They were personable, kind, responsive, and SO helpful. We had our ceremony in the outdoor garden space and it was truly a dream. The inside of the museum is also beautiful and has great architecture for wedding photos. Everything about the experience was perfection. Aside from having our wedding here, we also visited the museum and enjoyed the beautiful artwork. I would recommend the Akron Art Museum to anyone!

Fabulous art, some great classics here and some local artists and quite a few I had never heard of. One interesting series in the current photographic exhibit is by Josh Azzarella who "works with historical photographs by removing or abstracting their central imagery." Unique to see the Kent State Shooting without Jeffrey Miller. Lovely to see a Calder and a Magritte here as well. Don't miss the facade of the building which itself is an art piece. I understand that it uses the same steel and glass as was installed in the Louvre. [Review 1351 of 2024 - 270 in Ohio - 22374 overall]
