Met with a friend for an afterwork meeting. Lockview hadn't been visited since before the pandemic. The idea of a gourmet grilled cheese sounded like comfort on this chilly winter day. I wanted to try something new . Being that I don't eat pork, I had about 11 out of 15 options options to choose from from the gourmet grilled cheesse section. I settled for a number 3 which was a pepper jacket cheese and fresh jalapeño on a three cheese miche bread. Just water for the drink The music in the background was a blend of rustic rock and that certain Akron hippie vibe. The server was attentive. For the sandwich itself, I wish the jalapeño was cooked. Otherwise it was pretty good and the sauce was a great addition. We didn't drink this time but the full bar was ready and they offered a range of drink selections. My friend was super excited that they now had Frank's Red Hot Sauce on the menu.

Food was excellent! My family and I went there to celebrate my birthday. I recommend the Lockview Croquettes for an appetizer. They were so good! Half of us got the same sandwich: # 7 Smoked gouda cheese, fresh basil, and tomato on three-cheese Miche bread. It was very good! The fries are hand-cut. We also ordered some drinks. I had the white sangria which was delicious with fruit in it! We were a little disappointed that the patio was not open though. I would definitely go back! What was really neat was that there are paintings on the wall painted by local artists and you can purchase them. How nice to support local artists!

The wait for the food wasn’t too bad, about 30-40 minutes but that’s because it was a Friday night. For starters, we got the sauerkraut balls which you get a lot for the price and they were well cooked. A little on the salty side but still pleasant. I got the spinach salad and it was delicious: the spinach was fresh and gave plenty of cheese and dressing. Then I got the veggie burger with fries: fries were decent and the burger was pretty good, plenty of veggies to complement the patty along with delicious cheese. My fiancé got the Mac n cheese which was probably the best I’ve ever had. Service was kind and attentive.

We had to wait at the door for at least 30 minutes while 3 tables sat empty with just needing to be bussed. The poor wait staff was overwhelmed and forgot about us multiple times and took away our drinks for refills and let our grill cheese was cold and solid cheese. I don't think we'll be back. Oh forgot to mention...there was a hair in my wife's sandwich. Stand by your bad food and service all you'd like
