I enjoyed my experience here. Place was easy to find and had adequate parking for the amount of people that were there. However, if they were packed I could see parking being an issue. The restaurant itself is pretty cool. It has great space, great layout and great decor. They also have a pretty cool outdoor eating area that looked nice, but we opted to inside for the AC. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was good, was nice and crispy on the outside but still pretty moist inside. The fries were good, but I could have done without the seasoning. But then again, I don't like fries with much salt, so others will probably like more. My gf got the same thing, and she enjoyed hers too. My buddy got the wings. He said they were just ok, but didn't think they were worth the price. My only real issue was the menu, both the physical menu you look at to order and then the selections of food and beverages they offer. The physical menu didn't have any prices listed on their beer menu, which was weird. Then on the food menu, most had prices, but some didn't. Like it was a flaw when printing the menus. For example, the fish and chips I ordered was the only entree without a price listed. It ended up being one of the cheaper items, so I was actually a little relieved when I asked our waitress. The menu items they offer don't really speak to me, but that's just me and my personal opinion. I actually had fish yesterday, but the fish and chips was really the only thing that looked appealing in the entree section...at least for the price. The prices on the menu are pretty steep for an average Joe like me. But I haven't had anything else there so I can't say if the price is justified. I'm ok with paying more if the food is on point. But saying all that, I still enjoyed this place and would return. The food and beer I had were all good and it seems like a fun place to go with a group of friends.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a work lunch at Lock 15 Brewing Company, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Nestled in a cozy yet modern setting, the brewery offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for both casual gatherings and more formal business lunches. The menu featured a creative selection of dishes that showcased modern plating techniques, making each meal not only a treat for the palate but also a feast for the eyes. I was particularly impressed by how each dish was thoughtfully crafted, with vibrant colors and enticing presentations that elevated the dining experience. The flavors were equally impressive. I opted for the seasonal special, which was bursting with fresh ingredients, and it did not disappoint. The balance of flavors and the attention to detail were evident in every bite. The brewery also offers a nice variety of house-brewed beers that pair wonderfully with the food, making it easy to find the perfect complement to your meal. The staff at Lock 15 were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our lunch went smoothly. Their knowledge of the menu and beer selections added a personal touch to the experience, making us feel well taken care of. Overall, Lock 15 Brewing Company is a fantastic spot for a work lunch or a casual outing. The combination of modern cuisine, cozy ambiance, and excellent service makes it a standout choice. I can't wait to return to explore more of their menu and enjoy another round of their craft brews! Highly recommended!

We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. There was not much of a crowd yet so we were seated immediately. The place is nice with indoor seating and a nice bar set up. It is more upscale than most brew pubs and therefore more pricy. They have a dozen or more beers on tap. A good selection of styles and tastes. The Rubber City Snow Black IPA was quite good. I am not a vegan but the smoked vegan meatloaf intrigued me. My wife ordered the Port Salut burger. I have had " meatless" meats before and they were firm and had flavor. The meatloaf had the consistency of mashed potatoes and it would squeeze out of the sandwich each bite. It didn't have much flavor and it was supposed to be served with a horseradish sauce. I saw it but tasted no horseradish as that would have given it a bit of flavor. It did have smokiness though. It was topped with collard greens. They were quite chewy and bitter. I had to pull them off my sandwich. My wife fared better with her burger. The Port Salut was two smash patties covered with bourbon bacon jam and gorgonzola cheese. She liked it. We both got the side slaw. It was more like broccoli salad and was on the salty side. Our service was good. Our server was attentive and friendly. I will try them again in the future but will order something much different next time.

Based on reviews, I expected more. We did not get any beer so the review is solely based on food and service. Service was great. Food varied from great to horrible. The presentation was A++ but the taste didn’t transfer. The fish and chips were awesome, great fish and greatly made. The Nashville Hot chicken with waffles (not the sandwich) was an interesting concoction. It’s definitely not your typical chicken and waffles but it didn’t really work for me. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t amazing. Got the scallops appetizer. It was good but way overpriced. We also ordered the skillet corn bread. It looked amazing but was absolutely horrible. I’ve had jalapeño corn bread before that was amazing but this was not it! Another reason for the 3 stars is (1) we drove 30 mins for this place and they were randomly closed due to power outage that was limited to their restaurant? (ok whatever. We can’t control everything) but also (2) they were completely out of wings and it was like 2pm? I’ll return Bc I want to try the smoked wings but expectations aren’t as high as before

I came here after a wedding that happened at Cascade Lock Park located behind this place. Everything was amazing and I can't think of a single complaint. My only suggestion is to have a sitting area one day that comes to the side of the old lock and.... Oh my it would be the chefs kiss. 💋 The location sits in one of the most beautiful locations one can find in the actual "Akron valley" area other than the Merriman. This. This is what we need more of. Smart and innovative uses of our old buildings along scenic locations. Far too often these buildings are torn down instead of being rehabilitated into something useful. The establishments here that made this location possible showed outstanding showmanship... not just good business sense and operations. They employed a great understanding of tourism into their ambition... They should win an award or two in no uncertain terms. This place is easily a win - win, not just for them but the city overall and their mere existence makes Akron a better place to visit.

Disappointed. I’ve heard many great things about Lock 15 and was extremely excited to try it. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff was friendly, and the beer was good. I will say, our server changed halfway through service with no notice or warning , so when someone else began to help us, we were very confused. Despite the odd service change, our main problem was dinner. I ordered duck tacos with house made chips. The tacos were all cold, the duck was dry and cold, and the flower tortillas were almost stale— chewy so much that it was hard to eat. As you can see, my chips were so burnt. Two other guests with me had the $20 steak salad with over-done, chewy, fatty, steak. You can clearly tell I did eat 2/3 tacos, and some chips; we didn’t bother to send anything back due to our time restriction and they were so busy, it didn’t feel worth it to us. I’d say we will go back to give it another chance, but for my bill for 2 people to be $80+ dollars, we will definitely consider what we order.
