WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER!!! (Insult and Injury) Do yourself a favor and read the 1 and 2 star reviews so that you know what you are getting into. The overall rating is what drew us to this place, but I wish I had read through some of the comments.

This place is a prime example of why I don't like to tip before being served or receiving my food. We paid an extra $10+ between the "dine-in surcharge" and the tip and the experience was down right awful. I went to this place with my wife and kids as we traveled through Akron on our way home from Cleveland. The older guy who took our order was very nice and suggested that we get an appetizer that he could have out to us "in about 7 minutes" to hold us over while we waited for our pizza. We were then asked if we would be dinning in and were charged a $3 "surcharge" for eating inside. 35 minutes later, we had not received the appetizer and when we asked about it some younger guys were now the only ones working in the restaurant and they told us that the appetizer would not be out until our pizza was ready. That was nothing close to what we were initially told when we were convinced to order it, and I had never been to a place that brought your appetizer with your food. We also asked why we had not received our drinks and he said that he would bring them out. We asked to cancel the appetizer and the guy just walked away form us without saying anything.

10 minutes later, we still did not have our drinks and received no response to our request to cancel the appetizer. When we asked again he replied, "the other guy working knows how to work the payment system better than I do so he will do it." A few minutes later he walks back out with these canned sodas that we had been charged $2 each for. No way we would have purchased drinks had we known that they were small canned sodas. We asked again about being credited back the $10 we paid for the appetizer that we canceled and he responded, "oh he cancelled it." We spoke to the other employee who claimed to cancel it and he nonchalantly said, "it will be back on your card in a few days." We finally received our food (14" bbq chicken pizza, 10" cheese pizza) and the food was mediocre.

As if things weren't bad enough, while we were eating, the old chair that my daughter was sitting in literally collapsed from under her sending her crashing to the floor in pain and embarrassment. We went and told the worker what had happened and he literally just looked at my wife and said, "ok." This was absolutely the worst restaurant experience we had ever had. This was on Saturday (9/2/23) and, as of today (Wednesday 9/6/23), we still have not received the refund for the cancelled appetizer that we were supposed to have been...

It pains me to write this review because the concept is great, the quality of ingredients used is great, but none of that matters if you ever get your order. Employees of this establishment are combative, abrasive and downright rude. They are also not following any form of hygiene practices. Here comes the long review: I ordered at 6:00pm on a Sunday and am quoted 40 minutes. I arrive in 42 minutes and when I check in I am told it will be an additional 12 minutes (exactly?). At this same time the other employee is yelling out names of completed orders. There's about four people waiting. I come back in 10 minutes and proceed to stand watching them work? take orders etc. for an additional 30 minutes. During this time no food is leaving and no orders are being called out. By the end of this wait there are over 15 people waiting for orders. At this point the prior customer review who demanded a refund gets annoyed about the lack of communication from the staff and just wants to get out of there. The employee told him (the customer) that is was their responsibility to check on their order based on the time window that was given. So by this point there's 4+ completed orders on top of the pizza oven waiting... All for people who were already there waiting, including myself. The icing on the cake was the employee taking orders, grabbing drinks, making pizzas and preparing salads all without gloves/hand washing. Don't forget it's an open kitchen and we can see absolutely everything you're doing.

I highly, highly suggest you get your employees in shape before the health department gets to you or worse. It's one thing for food being prepped for cooking, but raw salads being handled in such a way is probably going to make me never come back... And I highly suggest others consider if their health and safety are worth risking over...

Somehow this place continues to wow me more and more each time I get food there. At first, I assumed it was just going to be a cool space, with more thought put into the decor than into the food itself. MAN - WAS I WRONG. Not only are you going to find amazing atmosphere and a brilliantly themed menu, but the flavor combinations and profiles in these pizzas are on another level. Every item has been an explosion of flavor on the tongue. Don't be shy - try the more unique pizzas. You will be blown away. The Danny Trejo (Mexian) pizza is better than any other mexican pizza I have tried - I mean come on, fresh lime for on top? Yes! The John Belushi (Greek) - absolute stunner; the gyro meat and roasted tomatoes are so juicy and flavorful. The Betty White? This white pizza is worthy of the legend herself. The crust is always crunchy, the toppings are abundant but balanced, and the sauces are chef's kiss. The owner has poured his heart and soul into this place, and it shows. He cares SO MUCH about the business, but even more about the food. When he's acting as a one-man-band behind the scenes, it's like watching an artist at work. This man knows pizza, and he appreciates each and every person that comes through those doors. Do yourself a favor and place an order. You just found your new favorite...

I went to The Nightlight to see a movie. Just a few doors down is Totally Baked Pizza where I grabbed one of their specialty pizzas called the Shaggy & Scooby and ordered their homemade Lucid Lemonade. The Shaggy & Scooby includes PB&J, shredded short rib, red onion, Italian cheeses. I’ve tried PB&J inspired pizzas before, but this is the best that I’ve eaten. The flavors are unique and go perfectly together. The service was also great. The gentlemen helping me suggested that I come back in the evening as they are connected to High St. Hop House and Baxters Bar where you can grab pizza at Totally Baked Pizza and then head next door to eat it at the bar while enjoying drinks and listening to live music (on certain nights). If you’re looking for a night out to enjoy a movie and then dinner and drinks or you just want delicious pizza, then this is the spot as they have the some of the best specialty pizzas.

Last night, I had to go to a wine tasting event at the Akron Civic Theater. The highlight was finding Totally Baked Pizza near the light red wines. They did some kind of yummy garlic cheese pizza that probably goes well with light red wine. I don’t really care about wine but I love pizza! So, tonight, Super Bowl Sunday, 2022, I ordered a large Chong pizza. Basically, pepperoni and cheese heaven. The sauce is amazing and the crust is incredible! I would give it a 10! But Google only allows a 5. The menu is fun to peruse, especially if you are a fan of marijuana. I can see how this place could be a treat if you had a case of the munchies. Like I said, I love pizza and I hope this place flourishes and that the first franchise is in Cuyahoga Falls so I don’t have to drive downtown all the time!
