This is exactly why I do not have a membership with Costco because of the ridiculous BS that comes with who can use your card To shop at their store. My daughter who lives in Philomath Has three little kids, her husband was out of town for work and I just happened to be coming to Albany to pick up my glasses from Americas Best, not Costco!, And she asked me if I could please get her Some diapers from Costco while I was in Albany. She is the one with the Costco card and asked me to pick them up with her Costco card. Well, you can guess what happened? They told me I could not get her diapers because I was not the card holder. Ridiculous! I mean, seriously! I think that is the stupidest BS! Honestly, what does Costco corporation think is going to happen? People are just gonna invite all of their friends & family to come shop at Costco to get no better of a deal than Walmart or Winco? I just told my daughter that she should just cancel her Costco card. She doesn’t shop there enough. She lives over 30 miles away and it’s ridiculous that you cannot have somebody else pick you things up on your card when you’re not able to because you live 30 miles away from the nearest Costco and you have 3 little kids. the worst part about all of this was how rude the Costco people were about it! What the hell happened to customer service? Do people just hate their jobs anymore that they have to be so freaking rude? I’m sorry, but I think that if a person It needs an item from Costco where they have a membership and they can’t physically get there but somebody else can and can pick that item up for them. I think there should be ways of doing that. Also, you employees at the door that are so rude and reject people that are there out of the kindness of their heart to buy diapers for the card holder Member, you all can be a little bit kinder! If you hate your job that bad or you’re that negative of a person that maybe you shouldn’t be a greeter in the first place!. I hope to God that you never have to be in a similar situation because you have little ones and your spouse is working out of town and nobody is there for you, or to help you! I made an online order for two items. Air pods and an Apple Watch. I was shopping for store pickup and the website reflected that the Albany location had the items in stock. I later noticed that one of the items had shipping attached to it. So I called them, gave them my order number and they said that the item in question was out of stock at that store but I could call Costco online and have them either expedite the item to the store or redirected to a shipping address and that I can come in at any time to get the other item. This is only an issue because I’m leaving the state next week.
I called Costco online and they told me that they could not expedite the item but I can have it shipped to the address I will be at in Florida. So, I gave them the address. She comes back and tells me it’s not a verified address but I can cancel the order and reorder it and have it shipped to that address….. it makes no sense what so ever. I told her I can add the address to my account and she said that was a no go. I’m getting frustrated by this point and told her to cancel the item and I’ll just go pick up the other one that is here and available since those will be useful on the plane.
I called the Albany location back and explained the situation and gave them the order number again and told them that the woman I spoke to 45 min prior (yes the Costco online call took that long) said I can come get the AirPods at any time. The man proceeds to tell me that that isn’t possible because although they have the item in stock the item I ordered was being shipped to the store…. He said I’d have to cancel that order and rebuy the item. What the hell? I cancelled them both and bought the stuff from Walmart and I can pick it up tomorrow.

Cons-Sales people can be pushy especially the TV people. Can get crowded on weekends.
Seafood is usually close to expired. Got halibut on sale and it was not real fresh paid a pretty penny. They need to lower the price before it starts to smell like a dead fish 🐠
Same day delivery is great but prices are higher than in store. 9 out of 10 deliveries are perfect you get the one mixed up order occasionally. Most of the drivers are great only had two bad ones, one refused to answer text when I was missing a bag of items another dropped my box breaking the glassware. But it's not often.
Tires department is bad. You miss a rotation and it voids the warranty. They are always booked so it's hard to get in and have a rotation done. We stopped going after they refused to fix a flat we plugged to get there or honor the warranty on the tire. We use discount tire now. It's a shame they used to be better.
Do not order online. Two day shipping is taking a week. I ordered cold and frozen food. Extremely upset. Nothing on order page Said anything about delays. Just stated order before noon to get your shipping within the two days I ordered early morning ..
