I like going to Marshalls to see what types of discounted goods I might need before paying full price elsewhere. I've been lucky to snag a few great deals from this particular location. My favorite items are organizational products and pet accessories/brand name snacks. With that said, there is plenty of room for improvement at this location as well.
The selection of clothing and sizes are lacking unless you are a baby, child, or smaller sized adult. The last few times I've been there, the shelves were so crammed full of unorganized product that merchandise was falling on the floor or I had to remove merchandise to look behind it. It is especially an issue in the food storage and pet products.
I also encountered an employee that kept coming up to me asking if I needed help. I explained that I did not and was browsing for a gift. She then proceeded to keep talking to me about her personal issues. I'm an empathetic person, and I don't mind listening, but it is unprofessional of an employee to stop a customer for a discussion about their home life. I've also been stopped stopped numerous times on the same visits asking if I needed help, even multiple times by the same employees.
I'll continue shopping here, and I do recommend this store if you are looking for a bargain. I recommend giving yourself some extra time in the store since there is a lot to go through, especially in the areas with excess merchandise. I also don't recommend handling some of the purses. The alarms are very sensitive and can go off with the slightest touch...
Read moreI bought a bunch of items the other day. Among these were some undergarments. The cashier said they need to stay just how they are to return them. I did not remove them from the bag when I got home. I decided to get some different ones online and brought the ones I bought back to the store still in the bag and the cashier refused to return then saying a pair was not attached. Again, they were never taken out so this is exactly how I purchased them. I asked for the corporate number and was given a number for employees to call. I work right next door so I do a lot of shopping there. I have worked retail for 10 years and have never seen such a ridiculous policy. The cashiers should check all the items as they sell them if that is going to be there policy. I spend a lot there and do my gift shopping there but I guarentee I will never shop there again and will advise everyone I know if my experience. I will also not shop at any of their other stores. Worst...
Read moreI Just came back from shopping at this location and I’ve never felt so monitored and unwanted at a Marshall before.
I had gone in for one thing but decided to browse and stay a bit longer because I always find great deals at this location. As I made my way to the purse section I was interested in a clearance MK purse, I was holding the bag and looking around for an associate or that button that notifies an associate. I turned my head around I made eye contact with one of the workers from far away he said “I was lookin at you the whole time.” Like if I was going to steal the bag SMH! I made not much of it and kept browsing. I was browsing at the woman’s section minding my own business. I accidentally dropped a hanger and as I was reaching for the hanger here comes the guy once again telling me “I saw that.” I completely ignored it and it clearly made me feel unwanted at the store... idk what his deal was but I won’t be shopping at this...
