I have had several not so pleasant experiences in the past but this last visit prompted me to leave this review so others can be forewarned. I went in to get a glass screen protector for my s9+, knowing that the prices here are quite higher than market value. I spent double the price to save a day from Amazon. I had the "technician" put the case on as they should be professional at this. The cashier was very friendly, I will give them that, but quite ignorant in terms of phone knowledge. After putting the protector on quick and painlessly I was on my way to finish my day. Shortly after, I noticed that the right side of my phone was unresponsive. I went back the next day to see the same cashier and explain the situation of which, bless her heart, she had a very hard time comprehending the issue at hand. She then without asking took my phone in the back to talk to her dad about what to do, 3 minutes or so later she came back out stating she had put it on slightly off and that her dad kind of fixed it.... she told me what he instructed her to say: "It has a glass screen protector and you are going to have to push it hard, it is just how it is" of which I know to be absolutely incorrect... needless to say my phone still did not function correctly. Later in the day I noticed scuffs on the top and bottom left of my phone that were not there prior. It was as if he had put the phone in a vice grip to hold it while he attempted to fix their mistake. I went home, heated the screen and re-positioned the screen protector, it now works as it was intended. I am highly disappointed with the lack of care and professionalism this business displayed. If I am to have to go to a cell phone repair shop, I will be going to the "Cell Phone Sick Bay" in Corvallis, the employees there are excellent at what they do and make you feel appreciated and not just another number like the vibe spinware put on me, I will never go back there... if you made it this far in the review, thank you...
Read moreI have never written a review in my life, even though I have experienced horrible customer service, and have had a variety of good reasons, to do so. Non of which have made me angry enough to write a review. Until now. I have never dealt with manager so pathetic that I feel obligated to warn people. I bought a item 2 days ago, I asked about there return policy at the time of purchase. I was told within 7 days with the receipt, for a refund, or exchange. The item I bought broke within five minutes of my son using it. I took the item and receipt in and asked for a refund. The employee told me, I would need to talk to the manager because they don't return the item that I purchased. After standing and waiting for at least 10 minutes while he talk to different customer, he told me that they would not refund the item I had purchased, due to the fact that so many people were bringing them back because they had broken. He said that the item had been taken apart, and put back together. Since I had been there the whole time my son used it, which was a total of five minutes before it broke, I honestly knew it had not been taken apart, and informed him that was not actually the case. He basically called me a liar in front of staff and other customers, telling me that it wasn't possible for it to break any other way?? He put the item down on the counter went back to talking to another customer. He never gave me a definite answer, and said nothing while letting me continue to stand there waiting. Finally, the previous employee told me I could not return the item for a refund. I was not informed by anyone, Nowere on the return policy is stated, it is not stated in the store, or on their website, that the item I purchased was nonrefundable. I advise everyone, to be careful doing any business at the spin ware, in Albany Oregon, and to be prepared to be treated with...
Read moreToday I went to Spinware as a bit of a long shot, hoping that I wouldn't have to spend $500 to replace my whole phone. I walked in and I was cheerfully greeted right away and asked how they could help. I showed the gentleman my screen and explained that I understood it might be a long shot to fix, as I had been informed by other phone people, and he didn't even bat an eye. He said no problem, but did warn me that there was a risk that the fix could fail just because of how the phone was constructed and gave me my options if that was the case. He said he was confident he could fix it, but just in case he wanted me to know what further repairs may cost and asked if I wanted to move forward. This was incredible because in the past any repair people I have visited, not just for phones, have always attempted a repair and then told me it was going to cost more and I was not given a chance to weigh my options before I was locked into it. Spinware was not like that and I am so glad! When I walked in I had been told it would cost me around $500 to replace my whole phone because no one would attempt the repair, Spinware tackled and fixed for only $25 and in about 10 minutes! I went and cried with relief in my car knowing I didn't have to find the extra money for a new phone! I hope I never need another electronic repair, but I know if I do I will be coming back to Spinware in...
