In reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant for my fiancee and I to try Remedy. There was one review that highlighted bugs were in the private soak area and others than complained about noise. Considering the owners addressed these reviews , we took a chance and I am so glad we did. We booked the Hemingway soak for 1 hour and then a one hour couples massage. If you haven’t soaked before a massage, you must! It is obvious there has been a lot of thought and energy put into the indoor & outdoor spaces of this spa. The robes were comfy & the waiting space was quiet with tasty hot tea options & relaxing furniture. The Hemingway soak tub was perfect! It is an outdoor area with privacy but don’t expect it to be 100% quiet and void of all things mother nature. The area has a privacy door with trees on the inside thar perfectly frame the space. We had a bee buzz around us for a bit and sarcastically joked about how that was most certainly grounds for an unfavorable review! The tub was the perfect temperature and we had two chairs to lounge in if we wanted to get out before the hour. We were offered massage add ons (for additional $) and items to buy after the massage. I did treat myself to a hand/foot add on that was nice. I can appreciate the upsale techniques but appreciate more that the items don’t feel aggressively pushed on you if you are not interested. Had they been super aggressive it would have been completely off putting and would not want to return. Shout out to our massage therapists, Rachel and Doozer. They were very attentive and skilled. Highly recommend and will be back.

Wow, what a truly hidden gem, even for Albuquerque. The remedy day spa is about a four minute drive from my home and had I not looked up or heard about it online I would never have known what it was or how special a place it would become to me. I absolutely love soaking in water and this is just a place to do it. The prices are reasonable. The employees are super respectful and make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk in. The facilities are nice and clean. I actually appreciate the sand that is in the water as I find it to be very grounding and part of the experience. I’ve noticed that some people described water as dirty, however, I don’t think this is the case at all. I think the water is pure and filled with minerals, which is exactly what I specifically am fond of. This is perfect for a once a month reset to bring a book some water and ground yourself. I can’t thank the staff enough for the services that they provided me and this local gem. Regarding parking, they do have reserve spots. I’ve never had a problem with that in the parking is free, which I appreciate. I’ve only done the soaps and I’ve never done the massages or body wraps, but I’ve heard they’re from anon from people getting out of their treatments while I was at the spa. I also really really appreciate the Tea and water relaxation room. It’s always nice to have a community feel by creating a space like that supports and gives access to everyone to wind down or prepare for their service that they’re about to receive. I give this place a 10 out of 10 and I’m blessed to have found it.

The staff were friendly and nice but I'm positive this place got me sick due to its uncleanliness in the tub I was in this morning. I spent a good part of my soak scooping out dead flies and weirdly colored balls, and finally had enough and called the front desk. They offered to move me but this was the deepest soak and immediately after more people came for their time anyway. The water itself was nice and so was the ambiance. But they don't clean in between soaks, and with all the stuff inside when I sat down, I'm sure they didn't clean when I arrived. My drive back out of town is an hour and maybe 30 minutes in my skin started it itching and my eye started to swell and burn. I'm really disappointed and imagine this was a freak thing, but I can't imagine going back, my eyes still burning and I felt so sick I had to pull over and go home. The Hemingway tub was dirty and despite offering to move me none of the tubs were priva5e or secluded in the same way or with deep water.

UPDATE: Below is my initial experience. The owner got in touch with me today as well and apologized. This was news to her and she made sure to send me a full refund. She also said she would be meeting with her staff to address what happened to ensure better customer service is provided. My husband and I will definitely give this place another chance. People make mistakes and I appreciate the owner reaching out to try to make this right. When I do visit the spa, I will write another review, especially if it highlights a great experience.

This review is not based on actual services rendered. My husband and I booked a couples massage online for December 23rd and were really excited to attend. It is not something we do more than once a year together so we cringed at the $410 price, but went for it since it was supposed to be a special treat for us while family watched the kids. On the morning of the 23rd, I woke up with "bumps" all over the top of my feet, legs, and arms. My husband called immediately on opening to cancel our appointment (my husband didn't want to go without me) because my skin felt like it was on fire and very itchy. I didn't want to be touched and I didn't know what was going on with me so I was concerned this could be something that I could pass on, like shingles. When my husband called he had to leave a voicemail because no one answered. He did get a call back from The Remedy Day Spa and they didn't care that it was a legitimate medical issue, they were going to charge us for the missed visit. I called back hoping to speak with someone to hopefully appeal to some common decency and explain that we would be willing to meet them in the middle and pay a late cancellation fee that was closer to $100 for their troubles, if we could also reschedule once I was better, but all I too got was voicemail. I was even prepared to provide pictures as proof. I never received a call back and the next day got a charge of $452.76 to our bank account. I couldn't believe they did not have courtesy to call me back. I was looking for somewhere I could go more frequently to help with injuries my husband and I both received while we were on active duty. I will never give this place my business in the future! I am truly astounded that a place that proclaims to care about people's health and well-being is so...

I had a five-star experience at The Remedy Day Spa! I received a Groupon for my birthday for a Massage Package with Amenity Access. I called and had to leave a voicemail to make a reservation on a Friday (it was the day after a holiday), and received a call back on Monday to make my reservation. I got in the next week with no problems. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. I do want to forewarn you that there is very limited free parking here. They have a few spots directly in front of the building other wise it's street parking (if you can find it) or paid parking in the lot directly next store. DO NOT TRY TO PARK IN THE PAID PARKING WITHOUT PAYING. Upon entering the establishment the woman at the friend was very kind and didn't treat me differently than any other customer for arriving with a Groupon. She showed me the amenities which I enjoyed thoroughly before my massage. They have a cool dip (swimming pool), hot tub, sauna, and outdoor relaxation loungers and hammock. There is also a beautiful indoor seating area with comfortable seating, water, tea, and snacks. They also have smoothies, sunscreen, and other great items available for purchase. In the locker room they provide you with a personal robe and towel, shoes to use, combs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and even have plastic bags to put your wet swimsuit in! I was happy that the woman who gave me my locker was thoughtful enough to give me a locker with the larger style robe, as I forgot to ask. Let me tell you this robe was great! There is nothing worse that going to a spa and being given a robe that you can barely close. This one was big, baggy, and had lots of room to spare! After enjoying the amenities I was introduced to my massage therapist, Michelle. If you want an amazing massage ask for Michelle! She did an amazing job and I feel like a million dollars. I did decide to add on the Mint Scalp Massage, and if you have the $25.00 I highly recommend it! It was a wonderful add on. I can't say enough how wonderful this location is, I will definitely...

The massage was fine but if you're going to claim to be a spa and charge spa prices you need to upkeep and maintain the amenities that make you a spa. They have a nice relaxation area but fail to meet the spa experience with the spa like amenities. The hot tubs are slimy, not treated, and not hot. They are not kept at a high enough temperature to kill any bacteria or algae. The cold plunge or above ground pool, whatever they classify it as, regardless, is not maintained at all. Algae is visible on the bottom and sides of the pool which can and should be vacuumed and filtered out. The steps in to it are unstable, slimy, and slippery. There are spider webs around and underneath all of their patio furniture. When you go to rinse off the pond scum smell from their luke warm "hot tub", the shower stalls in the locker room have algae building up on and in between the fake rock flooring which is broken with pieces missing, you end up smelling the same as if you never rinsed off. There are also a bunch of ants in the locker room and weird stains on the furniture in there. When you fail to upkeep the parts that allow you to charge spa prices and fail to meet basic health code standards that I can visibly see, physically smell, and touch I get concerned about the things I take your word for. IE the towels that go on my face, the robe that goes over my naked body, the sheets I lie down on for the massage and whether or not those items have been properly washed, sanitized and are new and are not being reused. I dont know how involved the owner (s) or management team/mangement company are or the level of decision making they have but the lack of involvement and oversight will be detrimental to the business in the long run. The business has potential. As it is now, I will never go back, I would never recommend to anyone I know, and there is nothing I can point to, that remotely justifies paying $225 for a basic 90 minute massage. Good luck to whomever owns remedy day spa. It's not too late to...
