I went into the store today and normally I have a pleasant trip but I will never go back in there again. Apparently you cannot bring any type of food or drink in the store....which is perfectly understandable. But I didn't know this. I had a cup with a lid and straw. Wasn't really drinking it but didn't want it to melt in my car. This lady didnt even acknowledge me until she saw the cup. I had walked past her several times and not once did she even say hello...till she noticed the cup. I live in this area and love ACO for what they do for the community. Another issue is she announced it loud and everyone in the store was looking at me like I committed a crime. I was literally less than half of a foot from the cash register, where she stood. She could have come to me and said it in a lower tone than she did. It was rude!!! She treated me like I was someone who should not have been there . I will not step another foot in this place but I still have a lot of respect for the Organization itself. Treat people with decency. She could have just told me in a lower tone. I walked...
Read moreAco is OK but they price the stuff as if it were new and it is all given to them free . I understand that the money made from the sales gos to help people who need help but still they put out rages prices on some of the things in the store . And the will not take some things you may try to donate . If it looks to used or if they don't like it then they will not take it . I thought it was to help people in need of things , so then why not take anything you can and what you can't or do t sale give it to the people who need it and would be grateful to get anything they can get . Because the people who run the place live in nice homes and have everything they can get there hands on threw the donations at the store in sure , they do t care about the people who put have so they throw good stuff in the trash and don't give it to the people who need it . So I ki do think that is really messed up and they are not really trying to help others but themselves . And to me that ain't...
Read moreI was very happy with my visit because I found exactly what I wanted at a low price without any trouble, which was picnic supplies. I bought three throw pillows, five glass jars, and three woven wooden baskets for close to $20. The items were not as good as new but were to my satisfaction because I was looking for things I could use, not things I would stare at and admire or give away as gifts. The lady at the counter was friendly, did her best to bag my items even though they were large, and let me push the cart out to my car so I wouldn’t have to carry everything out in one trip (the doors were locked since the store had just closed). She also retrieved the cart and brought it back into the store. Years ago I also bought a cute lamp there that I still use to this day and they had interesting items every time I went. I may come back sometime to...
