Great local mall with a movie theater, some plazas and stores around, a nearby lake to walk around and see ducks and turtles swimming in.
Also nearby is an uptown area (with offices and residential areas) nearby to walk in as well as walkway areas where some local art/craft fair take place (with art stalls/booths, food trucks, seasonal decor, fireworks, etc).
The mall’s dining area has a nice variety of food vendors and fast food restaurants like Chikfila, Charlie’s, a small pasta place, a soup shop, and a couple of Asian restaurants. There is also a smoothie place that is still there to this day. Downstairs, there are some dessert places like a cookie place (where cookies and cookie cakes can be made), an Auntie Annie’s, and a few other random snack or quick meal shops, like one with hot dogs, cheese sticks, etc.
To note, also downstairs, there is a popcorn stall/booth that gives off the (in?) famous popcorn smell that you can smell whenever you go to the central area of the mall. 😄
There are many clothing shops and a few fandom merch-mixed with clothing stores like Hot Topic, Box Lunch, FYE (For Your Entertainment, which is a an entertainment digital media and merch store), etc.
The Torrid store is a pricey, but great shop for those who are size XL and up and for folks who can’t fit the much smaller Hot Topic sizes.
MiniSo was another store recently added, and some odd used game store or another merch store or two.
There are also a couple of soap and perfume shops as well that sometimes have sales.
There are the major department stores in each side of the mall, like Macy’s, Dillard’s, JC Penny, etc.
If you enjoy buying books (and music and dvds, and some random toys, stationary, etc), there is a great Barnes and Noble that tends to be good at keeping stock or ordering whatever you would like, with a small Starbucks that has a seating area inside within the bookstore.
The mall sometimes have seasonal “visit” events for the little ones, like meeting Santa and Easter Bunny, etc, and would have a Christmas tree and decor during Christmas season.
The mall recently added a small recharging station with a few tables with a few outlets at one end of the mall, if you need to recharge a phone or similar device quickly.
There is an Apple Store (for buying or trading in iPhones, IPads, Air, Apple device accessories etc) that is also pretty good, if a bit busy at times, so make sure you have extra time for it, since it’s in high demand with high foot traffic.
There are some other stores and stalls that are put up by smaller businesses, like phone repair, ear piercing, jewelry stalls, perfume or hair accessories, etc.
There is a Build-A-Bear stall in the bottom floor central area at the moment (near the small food places), and a stall for little mechanical electronic animal-vechicle rides for various prices depending on duration of driving time.
MiniSo is a decent shop for small merch toys and some necessities and accessories imported from Asia.
Box Lunch and Hot Topic are both great for getting smaller tshirts of various rotating fandoms and various fandom merch.
There is a small little place to get pedicures/manicures and to wax or pluck eyebrows & facial hair.
There is a Sephora for more high end makeup, though Hot Topic and Box Lunch have some cheap fandom makeup sometimes. (If you want to go cheaper for makeup and curly/textured hair products, there is an Ulta store outside of the mall, in the plaza behind/near the mall.)
Bathrooms are a decent/good size with several stalls and one or two accessible stalls, and some family sized ones.
The only downside is that parking tend to be crowded during the weekends or during lunch hours. Still, if you don’t mind walking from a farther parking spot, it’s got lots of parking.
All in all, I really love our local mall, especially as someone who often buys books, fandom merch, some various clothing, electronics and accessories, and eat at the various dining spots...
Read moreWho doesn’t like food . This food court has it all Greek Food , Italian Food, Mexican Food , Chinese Food , I personally favor the Italian Pizza and who doesn’t like pizza. I have had better pizza and it was at New Smyrna Beach, however that’s a long way to go so I have tried their pizza 2 times so far at the Altamonte Mall. So if you have a sweet tooth and like Ice creams they got you. I noticed they keep the tables and floors clean here and also the rest rooms are located about half way down the court. So wash up stay safe if your out and about. The malls are designed to get you to shop and that’s why we really go here. I have favorite haunts I like to eat at but mall food is not my main stay of course. So along the course of course I love Dillard’s, Macy’s and Penny’s . One of them always has me at the register and all my credit cards have something on them from each store. I’m building a bigger walk in closet and upgrading my work clothes and painting clothes . All that said it’s only rival is the Milinial Mall off Conroy in Orlando. Most of us need a good brisk hike so walking in this mall could get you in the next size down. Whatever your reason for shopping for walking for eating for anything this mall has it all . So hence the 5 stars because they have everything and the bonus is security that has a...
Read moreThe Altamonte mall had a lot to offer. I have shopped with many vendors over the years. I can tell you whonis genuine and who isn't. The dental office is the worst. 1. Please avoid them. They are dishonest and make ppl wait too long. 2. The nail salon that Jenny manages, right across from the dental office. I was a longtime customer until she discriminated against me for my not wanting to stand there and deal with her explanation for how my visit went wrong. I struggle with mobility. Didn't have my chair. I felt discriminated against because I chose to leave without an argument. 3. There is a jewellery repair store I don't recommend. The man took one look at my jewellery and tried charging me $60 for a battery for my watch. I went to a stand-alone spot that did the job for half that. 4. Taco bell is NOT worth the rates they charge. I'LL NEVER ORDER THERE AGAIN. they did away with the charging station near the rest room. That sucks considering I couldn't charge my chair. And my legs can't handle long walks. So I had to sit in the path of traffic long enough to chair my chair to get...
