I can't say I’ve ever had a bad Sephora experience until well…now. I came here to get some makeup and treat myself during Black History month but not only was I avoided by employees when I went to ask for help several times but was also blantaly watched by them from corners of the store. They had little desire to help any customers and would instead huddle and talk instead when it was clear there was a sizeable amount of people in the store to assist. When browsing, I had one of the employees who gave me a disgusted look prior, help a woman next to me. He proceeded to not only enter my space multiple times to get items without even saying excuse me or even let me know he needed to get products directly in front of me but didn't even bother to direct anyone else to help me which I’ve seen and experienced employees at other Sephoras do in the past.
This continued for awhile until when trying to find a selection I mistakenly reached in the bottom drawers. I was unaware customers were not to reach into these when a product is out of stock in display as past Sephora employees would always ask if I had checked them and this was my first time to do so with those past experiences in mind. Immediately upon doing so and with the still dismissive employee next to me who acted like nothing was wrong or maybe he couldn't care less? But either way I was immediately approached and chastised loudly by an employee named Cory. She not only felt the need to announce to the whole store about what I just did but berrated me like I was some kid and not a grown woman. Though I’m guessing my supposed stunt woke up the customer service element somewhere because I was finally offered help, however it definitely felt it was to rub it in that I was somehow a misbehaving customer and she was graciously trying to do her job. She then disappeared and I decided then to cut my visit here short.
I can only really say that the nicest employee was the sweet charismatic woman at the register who made sure I had everything and even offered some samples/deals for me to try. She even went as far as to hold my items upfront while I grabbed the products she told me to, to qualify. However, sorry to say but I’ll be avoiding this location from now on unless I decide to prepay and need to pick up. Thankfully, the Sephora at Millenia Mall is much more welcoming/helpful (a very fun time and the employees are a joy) and I’ve had many good experiences with staff at the Waterford Lakes location as well. If you don't need to and can find the time to go to those locations instead, I’d recommend leaving this one in the...
Read moreI am very unhappy with the service I am receiving from the Altamonte Mall FL location.
First, I went there a two weeks ago to get my eyebrows done. It was advertised in the window for a full service so I wanted to try it out. The tech was working on another client so the receptionist told me it would be about 15 minute wait. So my husband and I waited. After 5 mins, the receptionist comes over and offers a different tech. I politely decline b/c I wanted to try the first technician out. It looked like she was pretty much done with the make up service, she was doing little touch ups. However, after 45 minutes of waiting, we decide to leave b/c the tech was still working on the first client. Now, we heard her complement the client. Also, another person who seemed to know the tech, came in and said hi, and also complemented the girl. I was upset but it was my own fault. In this experience, I wish a list or appt time was created so I could have came back at my scheduled time and gotten them done. I probably would have been a reoccurring client of Sephora.
Now today, I use my bday gift card to get some face product I need before vacation. I made sure every item was in-stock before purchasing. This was at 8 am. I go thru out my day thinking my items are coming, just to find out at 4 pm the items are “unavailable”. If the same day delivery was a issue at this location, it shouldn’t have been offered as an option on the app. But if it was personnel being unwilling to provide this service, someone needs to be held accountable. We pay for convenience. I wanted my items delivered to me for an extra fee! It’s just an inconvenience.
So I recommend, for services offered (makeup, eyebrows, etc), use the app to make an appt. This will avoid customers just waiting for extended time. Also, if a service cannot be provided (same day delivery), instead of saying items are “unavailable” and cancel my order (when I know I checked for them!), simply take it off as an option. That’s something the store can do on their end.
Honestly, these two experiences have made me want to stop going to Sephora completely especially the Altamonte Mall in FL!! I used to never have issues. But one more Issue and I will...
Read moreHello. I was here on Christmas Eve shopping but everything was so hectic at the time I didn’t have time to even write or think about the experience I had here. My mom is obsessed with skin care but knows nothing about it so I was shopping for her looking through different items and products as well as I had a Ysl cologne set for my bf but the top of box was damaged so it kept coming undone I had to keep closing it back to which I guess a employee saw me and asked if there was something wrong with it and I wanted them to take it and I said no because it’s the last one it just keeps coming undone. When shopping for my mom I was waiting for my sister to come to help me I was approached every 5 seconds by and employee asking if I needed help, what I was looking for etc after telling every single employee that I wasn’t sure what I wanted and I was waiting for my sister so I’m just browsing the same exact ones kept coming and asking, lurking in the same places as I was, following me everywhere at this point I started to feel uncomfortable. Yes I was taking a while but i wasn’t aware there was a time limit to shopping… after they made me feel extremely uncomfortable I went in line to go ahead and purchase the cologne because I knew 100% I wanted it and put everything else back while in line the box again became undone as I was fixing it again the same employee asks if I need help I said again no the box is just coming undone and I’m fixing it as she takes it out my hand checks inside of it as if I stole the cologne that I was literally in line to check out with and walks away with it at that point I’m so extremely frustrated and quite honestly pissed off that I just leave as I’m leaving I notice they sent a employee to guard the door and as I’m walking out he gets on his walkie talkie and walks away from the door. It’s disgusting, dehumanizing and embarrassing to assume someone’s “stealing” because they are trying to figure out what to buy or because of a damaged box oh and btw all of the contents were in it! You don’t get to try and embarrass and harass someone based off of your own...
