Merrill Park — Attraction in Altamonte Springs

Really pretty park with a nice woodsy trail and and the Little Wekivia River running back behind it all. Lots of space for kids to run around and a nice playground area. Very clean and spacious. It had just rained when I went to go check it out. We were pretty much the only people in the whole park. So it was super quiet and peaceful. Best place for my softball games and to practice for volleyball tryouts, but it's horrible when it comes to bikes and scooter ext.I was here to do some softball practice and volleyball practice before the season starts for both,but I brought my scooter and I see a guy in there little trucks came by just to tell me no scooters!WHAT PARK DOSE NOT LET YOU HAVE SCOOTER AND BIKES ITS RIDICULOUS!I will come just for sports because I love sports but besides that I do not like that...

Best park for shade, my kids young and middle school aged, love it. We will take a variety of balls and play coordinated games on the baseball fields with our friends. The beach volleyball area is cool as well. There used to be a trail with a longer path, but recently some changes to the path were made so its a little shorter.
