Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I booked two couples services for my brother and his wife as a wedding present, for a very specific time and day as with wedding preparations they have a full schedule, and are from out of state so their time here in Florida is limited. The receptionist first of all couldn’t get my name right to save her life but I can ignore that. But rather than book for the correct time and day she booked my brothers reservation for a month off, and never gave any confirmation calls or texts or emails so any of us could realize the mistake. So day of their appointment comes, they’re on their way, and I decide to give the spa a call to make sure we had the time right and thank god for that because after 20 minutes of her searching she finally finds the appointment and starts blaming me for it being booked in a month and “it’s not even on the same day we have you on a Friday you asked for Friday” which they would know isn’t true if they checked their recorded calls. So instead of offering to fix it or move it she just keeps talking over me about how I booked for the wrong date and how it’s my fault and that they couldn’t have ever accommodated the appointment anyway because they don’t have any providers the day I requested for. She kept hanging up on me over and over so I’d call back and she’d be upset I’m calling- like you caused a problem I need a solution, of course I’m calling back. I ask for a manager and the receptionist tells me they’re all in meetings. I say I need them to call me because this is now a ruined wedding present and she says there aren’t any managers. I say she just said they’re in a meeting and she says “you know what I’m the manager. I’m a manager. How can I help you” straight up lying to me like I’m somehow the problem when them booking incorrectly was the problem. Then WHILE I AM ON THE LINE she starts insulting me to someone else talking about how nasty I am like she didn’t ruin a wedding present by messing up the booking. I tell her I’m on the line and she just hangs up on me. The kicker with all of this is that I when I booked, after I hung up happy as a clam because of how easy booking was, she had to call me back and confirm the appointment because she wrote something down wrong. She said to me then “we look forward to seeing you [date of the appointment that we asked for]. So she knew the correct date, and just messed up anyway. I could even forgive the mistake but she was so horrible talking over me and blaming me for the mistake like I somehow did it myself, and they did offer another time but they have wedding plans. If the appointment was impossible to book they shouldn’t have ever charged me in advance the full payment and just not send the confirmations so we couldn’t know. I’m literally still waiting...
Read moreThe massage itself was wonderful and the therapist I had was insightful. The part that turned me off was that I was scheduled for an appt at 5:30p and told to arrive about 5 minutes early to fill out paperwork which I did. I was told my therapist wouldn't be ready for a while. I wasn't in a hurry and wasn't sure what a while would be so I waited. I had booked a two hour massage which apparently isn't booked often- I didn't know this. If I would have been suggested to do an hour and a half instead then I would have done that. I felt like maybe I booked wrong based off of interactions with front desk and the therapist. I was taken back for my massage at 6:10pm and my therapist asked why I was getting a massage and booked a 2 hour one. I let her know I hadn't been massaged in a long time and was very tight and wanted to have time to get to everything. I also let her know I was looking to get back into monthly massages. I was up and off the table, fully dressed by 7:42. This puts me in the room for a total of 1 hr 32 minutes. I then proceeded to check out and was charged the full amount. No apology for being taken 40 minutes after my scheduled appt time, no one going over a monthly subscription that I heard you had. Everyone was ready to home. I wasn't going to say anything and didn't want to leave this in a review, but for an upscale day spa I expected more and in the end I felt as if it was an inconvenience that I was there. I'm not looking for anything out of this, but felt if someone cares about client experience then they should know.
Update: Natalie reached out to me regarding this review and mentioned that someone had called and left me a voicemail at 5pm asking if I could come at 6pm. Funny I didn't receive either of those. She asked me if I would come back again. I said at this time no because I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after being there. She told me she was sorry and to have a great day. Proper customer service would be "How can we fix what happened yesterday?" Not "Would you come back again?" When I had clearly stated that I wouldn't. I wish this business best of luck and hope they use the experience to learn from it so they don't lose...
Read moreUnfortunately Left feeling unhappy. The "deep tissue" massage was a light massage...I kept hoping during the massage that the pressure was going to increase to get rid of my horrible knots but it never did. And on top of it I didn't feel like the person doing it even liked what she was doing. It didn't feel like a dayspa experience...it felt awkward having to get dressed and put our shoes back on to go to the next room for our pedicures and then take our shoes off again. During the pedicure I caught the nail tech and assistant laughing about how long it was taking to do the pedicures. The assistant was very cold didn't introduce herself and looked annoyed the whole time. Our nail tech was the same person who did my sister's massage and she seemed tired and had nothing to say to us even when we tried to engage in conversation with her. The pedicure didn't even include a massage unless you call the assistant reluctantly rubbing salt on our legs the massage. To top the whole thing off the services that I had my husband had purchased as a special that included a Massage, pedicure and manicure. I only got the massage and pedicure and they said that the prices went up since my husband had purchased the package for me and that I had to pay 10 dollars extra. I didn't even get the manicure! When I tried to say that the person I spoke to on the phone when I booked the appt didn't say anything about that she said "well we have a lot of new people that have been answering the phones" This business needs a lot of work on customer service and making sure people feel better leaving then when they came in. They need to train their staff better on appropriate behavior. I left feeling like I was a burden, not appreciated as a customer, unsatisfied and taken advantage of. I will say that the colors and the interior design of the salon was nice but unfortunately that's not enough.
This business my have got an extra $10 out of me but unfortunately from their bad business practices they lost future repeat customers. My sister and I will...
