I went to the Altamonte Springs store and bought a bedroom set to be delivered to my new home in Wesley Chapel. I also bought a Beautyrest mattress and box spring, that the salesman, Ian, recommended. I lied on the bed to see if it was comfortable and ordered it, along with the furniture. When it was delivered, the mattress came up to my hip! The delivery man said to call the salesman and tell him you need a low profile box spring. I was never given an option of what profile box spring would come with the mattress or that they came in different heights! When I called the salesman, he quickly said there would be a fee to swap it out and promptly sent me the page with the fees highlighted. I told him I spoke with RTG customer service and they noted my account and that the exchange as authorized. The salesman said his manager would call me the next day. I never got a call back from the manager, nor did the salesman ever contact me again. After 3 days I callled RTG customer service, because I thought the manager may have ordered the swap, which he had not done. Customer service said I could go to any RTG location, so I went to the Wesley Chapel location and spoke with Valerie in the office. I explained my problem to her and she immediately contacted the Altamonte store. Altamonte said there would be a $98 fee, even though this was an error on the part of the salesman, by not telling me that my mattress and box spring would be CONSIDERABLY higher than the store model. I agreed to the fee because I could not get into the bed without standing on a stool or climbing onto it, which was very difficult for an elderly, short woman. I waited for an hour in the Wesley Chapel store while Altamonte took their sweet time in entering the order into the system. Valerie was able to get the new box spring delivered the next day. Considering it was almost 4pm, Valerie was a miracle worker and I am forever grateful for her determination to see this problem through to the end. I would never recommend the Altamonte Springs store to my worst enemy. The salesman, Ian, was only interested in making the sale and throw the customer under the bus after he gets...
Read moreI went to a Rooms-To-GO location at 464 W. State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs on 03/06/2022. After walking the store, I found a TV console with back panel suitable for my home decor and decided to order it. At first, I was informed in-stock items could be delivered as soon as 2 days from the purchase date. After making my purchase though, the soonest deliverable date available was the 15th. I agreed and allowed my card to be charged over a grand for my purchase. Rooms-To-Go called almost daily to confirm and reconfirm my appoint--to a point it became aggravating. On 03-15-2022 my items arrived. I work from home and was on a conference call, when the items arrived. The delivery persons were nice and set the items inside my front door. After work, I began to unpack the items and discovered the back panel to be mismatched in color. I phoned the 800 number and after 30 minutes on hold they informed the soonest they could have an exchange occur was on 03-27-2022. I requested to speak with a manager as I felt a next day exchange was appropriate. The manager hung up when he asked if I knew who my salesperson was and I responded with yes. So I drove to the physical store where I spoke with the store manager, he informed me this happens all the time and that he would get the exchange setup. I spoke with the lady at the counter and the soonest available appoint was 03-24-2022. Three days later than what I was told by the corporate employee on the phone. I find the delay in exchanging my items unacceptable. I was not offered any kind of inconvenience credit nor was my request to have next day delivery honored. The exchange went fine, though there is a cosmetic blemish on the front of the back panel--not enough for me to request another exchange. I am really let down by the level of customer service. I feel that exceptions should have been made to have my errors corrected in a timely manner. When they were unable to meet my next day request they should have...
Read moreWent in today, and had one of the worst shopping experiences. We (My my wife, her 2 sisters, and 3 of our kids) walked in, and was greeted. My wife kids and I sat on a few sofas, while her sisters went to look for kids furniture. We we went to meet up with them, and they were talking to a salesmen about the furniture. We were looking for a new mattress, so we branched off to try out beds. We received NO help while looking. We had no idea what certain bundles were, and just needed help overall. No one to be found. We started walking up towards the front, and 4 different salesmen were sitting on couches on their phones. We kept walking through, and no one asked if we needed help. We already have a RTG card, so we decided then and there to just shop online. Why would I give you free commission when you have no intention of assisting us? We walked to the patio section where there were 2 very nice ladies there willing to help with that area of the store. We didn't need anything, so we just headed to the front of the store. We stopped to look at another sofa that we might put in the office, and saw another salesman but he didn't offer to help with that at all. I walked over to look at one last mattress, and the guy standing in front of it said hello, but nothing other than that. We go to leave, and said have a good day to the gentleman at the front, and he didn't even have the decency to reply back to me. Overall just a bad...
