We stopped going to the former Outback Steakhouse, but we were curious enough to try the new Altamonte Springs location. I'm so glad that I chose it for my birthday. For a Friday night, the wait was brief, but I did call ahead, The atmosphere was pleasant, though as seniors, we would have preferred the music to be less overwhelming. Nevertheless, other positive elements overshadowed the music volume. Customer service was professional, yet friendly. The preparation, presentation, and flavors of the food were enticing. The loaf of black bread was fresh and hot enough to easily melt the butter. My husband was so enamored with his salad wedge that he had to finish every morsel even after the entrees arrived. Timing was ideal for me, because I had just eaten my last bite of a good Caesar salad, generously prepared with dressing and fresh parmesan without too many croutons. Our combos arrived hot and cooked to perfection. My ribs were tender, meaty, and flavorful. However, the extra barbecue sauce was a welcome addition, because it was s-o-o good. The baked potatoes were well done without being too crusty on the outside and garnished with everything (except sour cream, which I had requested to be omitted on mine). My husband enjoyed his coconut shrimp, and both steaks were tender, not overly seasoned, and cooked to the requested medium. We saved most of our steaks, while I added a rib and part of half of my baked potato for lunch the next day. Given my choice for my birthday dessert, I listened to the recommendation of our exceptional server and appreciated the generosity of the manager. A group joined our server in song and presented the chocolate tower cake, which was nothing short of magnificent! Enough dessert for a small group, we'll continue to savor every leftover bite. We definitely will be returning. As a retired teacher, I would not hesitate to give this restaurant and remarkable crew a well-deserved A+. Thanks for providing us with such a fine dining experience and birthday celebration! You all made my day more special.

I don’t know if I just have bad luck with this place or what. Every time I come to this place (even the old location) I’ve had a bad experience with my family. We went for Father’s Day, and the whole experience was absolutely terrible. I called for ahead seating, the girl in the phone had no idea was i was talking about. She must have been new, I made the reservation, I get to the restaurant 20 minutes early and they can’t find my information anywhere. We had to wait… we finally get seated, and when the waiter finally decides to come take out drink order everything we asked for he kept telling us that they were out. Down from beer to the pink lemonade my kid asked for. Took him another while to bring our drinks. Never brought the table bread after 40 minutes of sitting there he came to the table and we asked if we could get bread. When he took our order he kept acting like he couldn’t understand my parents English. Which was very discouraging, and upsetting being that my parents never had issues before with being understood. Then we waited a good 1 and a half for our food to finally come out. Mind you the entire time there the waiter did not clear our table from used dishes not even the menus, they literally sat on our table the entire time. Once the food came out my moms food was cold and the steak was not edible at all. When I took my kid to a bathroom break. I walked into an awful sight. I had to take pictures and I couldn’t believe that a new establishment lets their bathrooms get to the conditions. I think is was the last chance we give this place. It was absolutely disappointing once again. The management team was terrible. They were all up in the front booth just talking. Never again.

Really disappointed. We ordered a dinner from them quite a while back, to go. Unfortunately, we ordered a steak salad and the steak didn't come with it. A small, but annoying error. We called and spoke to a manager that was supposedly was going to make it right, and send some sort of voucher in the mail. Although they offered to remake it, turning around and driving 20 minutes each way was not a good solution. Candidly, we totally forgot until we were considering ordering from them months later, when we remembered the voucher never came. We called in to discuss it. The manager who answered, checked their records and found no record of it being sent to us. They claim they have even FedEx numbers detailing who they sent what. We were made to feel like we were trying to scam them for something...they made me feel like we were lying. Something we never experienced, because this is something we would never do. I got a lecture on their process, like I hadn't already been through it at the time the order was incorrect. I felt talked down too. I'm sure they come across people trying to game the system all the time, but we are not those people, so it felt really horrible to feel like we were trying to do that. It's not our fault the records weren't upheld correctly and/or the manager lied to us about sending something. It's not our fault the compensation never made it to us. This whole experience was really frustrating, and we will not be back. I'd prefer to give my business elsewhere. Oh yeah...and ordered a medium rare steak that came this time, but completely gray.

I've been here 3 or 4 times since it opened a month or so ago and had a different experience each time. The first one seemed to be a training day, no issues with that. I know learning a POS system for orders can be difficult. One of the other times, I saw a drink that was made at the bar that looked like the same drink my buddy ordered, sit there for a little while before being picked up. Turns out it was his drink. They seemed busier so that's not too out of the ordinary. My most recent visit was for lunch on a Sunday and it was fairly empty. I happened to notice the table next to me had crumbs all over the seat, and my own table had a sticky residue on the edge. There were many employees standing around waiting for things to do, likely because they weren't busy, but the cleanliness could have been better. Our service was great, but again, likely due to it being slow and him not having other tables at the time. I ordered a burger on one of my visits with bacon and the bacon looked to be entirely fat which was a shame. Another visit, ordered the Alice Spring chicken and it was delicious, and while it's on the menu, the Aussie JAWSsie tasted really great! I've had a similar drink from Joe's Crab Shack in Daytona but this one was better.
