Do not dine at Las Brisas. Experienced probably one of the worst experiences have had in a restaurant especially for one purporting to be so high end according to their price point. We had a group of 14 people and other than that the restaurant wasn't very busy. We waited over an hour and a 1/2 just to get our 1st round of drinks. We had ordered an appetizer but by the time it came our entrees were already being served. We also didn't get any bread or anything until we asked for it after having been there for over an hour and a half. I talked to the general manager and told him the issue and he very politely said he would get on top of it and fix it immediately and I thought all would be ok and he never did. I never saw him come by our table or talk to anybody. We are always looking for great restaurants and places to eat but this one failed miserably. We love to go to cask and cork, public house, Metropolitan and xbar steakhouse as well as Crush downtown and the new restaurant in the Barfield. I would highly recommend to go to one of these Instead of Las Brisas. Even once we finally got our food it was mostly cold and not cooked right several people had to send their steaks back and our friend's Sea Bass was cold. I have eaten at the Las Brisas many times in Lubbock and if you think you're gonna get the same thing here you will be sadly mistaken. I do not usually leave reviews like this but I don't want anyone else having the experience we did as it ruined 3 of my friend's birthday parties. Also to add insult to Injury nothing was comped for such horrible service and we were even given an auto gratuity of 20%. Whoever is the owner needs to take a hard look at this place as it could be another great place to eat in Amarillo as the menu is great and so is...
Read moreUPDATE 10.28.2022 My husband wanted to try the steak house one more time, so we gathered both our mothers, son, and cousins for a family dinner Wednesday night (10.26.22). We made reservations online thru google for 6:15, were immediately seated, and had a fantastic server this time. She was able to keep up with all 7 of us, including odd food requests, drinks, and the general chaos that happens when family gets together. Meals served were the blackened salmon, filets, beef tips and wagyu ribeyes. All the food, including the bread on the table, was fabulous. Defiantly on the higher end of price for Amarillo, but worth it. Changes apparently have been made and for the better. Well Done!! PS I can personally attest to the deliciousness of the Brisas Sangria......
Original review done July 2022:A small dinning atmosphere, good bar drinks, but three stars for the following reasons. While we had a super sweet server, she was obviously inexperienced, switched the finish on our meats, and missed several opportunities to keep the table clear as well as offer additional drinks. At a higher price range, you would expect a more experienced waitstaff. We ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer.. nothing like the menu picture online, not something I would reorder again with the surrounding marina sauce. My husband ordered the ribeye, it was pan fried and seasoned with only salt and pepper and had terrific flavor- obviously a good cut of beef. The medallion filets where tasty with the sauces. We also had a side of the lobster Mac n cheese- lacked flavor as compared to something like the decadent lobster Mac from Eddie v’s. Over all a lackluster experience, but to be fair we went at 6:30 on a Thursday- possibly a fun place later in...
Read moreOur server did her best, but that was the only good thing about our experience. There was 12 of us for a birthday. Our server did well, but fell short on keeping our table cleared of dishes. My husband asked for a double of whiskey and maybe got a single for $20. The biggest issue was how hot the restaurant was. We repeatedly asked for the air to turn on and it never happened. I was so hot I literally lost my appetite. I couldn’t even eat my entree. One sea bass was served completely raw in the middle two times before we said to just quit trying. My husband ordered sea bass with lobster sauce and you had to search for the lobster. Definitely not worth the $69 price tag. The birthday cake was brought out, but no extra plates were offered until we got up to go find some. To top things off, the credit card machine quit working and they asked for us to pay cash! The $4 in my wallet wasn’t going to cover our $225 tab🤦🏻♀️. Fortunately they got the machine back up. No manager ever showed up to check on us or apologize. I was so disappointed and did not feel that the food and environment matched the cost. I will definitely...
