It’s a cool place to spend time, the vendors are nice, and there’s cool booths. However, going outside through the side door where the outside vendors are set up, there is a “ramp” that is far too steep for wheelchair users such as myself. On Saturday, February 24th, my boyfriend and I ventured out to T-Anchor Flea Market. At the end of looking around inside, we decided we wanted to check out the outdoor vendors. We attempted to exit through the side door that’s located between two booths. As my boyfriend held the door open, I started up the (very steep) “ramp”. My chair, although a power chair, is back-heavy, and as soon as I made it up about halfway, my chair lost any kind of traction and I flew backwards. I ended up smacking my elbow, bumping my head (because after a lifetime of being a wheelchair user, holding my head up when falling backwards has become a habit), and hitting my back on the concrete/Asphalt floor. Luckily, a very nice family stopped to help me up before I had the chance to be extremely embarrassed. With that being said, I’m sure not many of you know the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) specifications of ramp slopes/gradients, but this “ramp” definitely did not meet those standards. Before this happens to someone else who has the time and capability to sue, T-Anchor Flea Market needs to get in compliance with ADA. This could’ve been so much worse had it been an older individual. Handicapped individuals deserve the ability to explore venues and have accessible (and safe) means to do so. If you made it this far into this review, thank you for your time. It just...
Read moreFirst, let me say there are some cool people here running booths. That being said, I wish this could have worked out. I got a booth for almost a month and at first it was great. Until the rain came. It came in through the roof in 6 to 7 different spots, puddling around, on and in my items I sale. I was blessed that it didnt get anything that the water could have hurt. Others were not so lucky unfortunately. The management said its written into the contract that water leaks from the roof is not their responsibility.....yea, thats not legal one bit. But they were still respectful and I appreciate that. The maintenance crew on the other hand were rude to us on 3 different occasions, for no good reason. Harrassing and talking down to us. I spoke to management about it at the time of the water leaks but didnt get a response so maybe they get leeway? Over all I really wish it could have worked because customers we had there were great, and we were surounded by amazing sellers, but $120 a weekend for a spot where only maybe 1/4 of it could be used when it rains or snows and no accountability from management for it or even plans to fix it, is simply not something we could do. I sincerely hope this improves. For now I will return to FB sales, my online website and...
Read moreNeeds improvement especially within their managers. Managers critic vendor's ethnic background, they think they have the right to rip ppl off and use inapropiate language and scream infront of the vendors customers. Very bad experience, you would just need to actually be there to get an idea of how they treat others. They need to invest to improve the architecture of that warehouse, it is falling to pieces! Every vendor's products get destroyed when it rains or snows not to mention the heat during summer with no air conditioning only fans. Something needs to be done, ethical management group is urgently needed !Not a...
