Worth a visit if you have a day in Murphys. The name captures their philosophy pretty well. Most wines are more in the economy bucket, decent quality but not particularly inspired or special. The Lily Pad white is an interesting blend of Marsanne, Rousanne and Gewurztraminer. For $10 certainly worth getting a few. Competes well with many basic Chardonnays. They claim they make bold Zins. First off: they moved. Right down the street a half block to a tasting room that is a little hidden, but has a lovely tiny park / lawn in front to share a glass or two. The are, compared to the rest of Murphys, one of the few "bargain" brands. However they will surprise you.
