I was booked here by someone else for the ironstone concours (for work). I had no idea what I was walking into, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is older, with older furnishings, but everything is so clean! It's not a luxury hotel, but that's fine. Everything worked well and was spotless. The beds were real mattresses, not that memory foam garbage. It was the most comfortable mattress I've slept on at a hotel in years! The room was huge. You walk into a living room with a couch (maybe sofa bed?), TV, and table and chairs, the next part of the room is a sink & vanity area, mini fridge and spotless bathroom. Then a door into the bedroom part of the room with another TV. We closed the bedroom door when we went to bed and it was perfectly quiet. I never heard a peep throughout the night. The parking lot is large and we never had to fight for a spot even with everyone in town for the concours. The staff is super friendly. There's free house made mini donuts and a mini orange juice delivered every morning, they have soft serve ice cream and coffee for the asking. It was very hot outside and the ac in the bedroom kept us chillin whenever we were in the room. The hotel is literally only a few minutes drive from the ironstone winery (which is beautiful). I will definitely stay at the Murphys Suites again...
Read moreRooms were a little dated but don't let that stop you from booking! Sherry and Mike were the best of hosts to make sure our stay was AWESOME! They offer free donuts in the morning and have about 4 choices! We stuck with the original powder sugar and these donuts were amazing! Even came with orange juice and was asked to choose from 7am-9am To have the breakfast delivered. They even offered free Ice Cream! On the way back from walking to Murphys Pourhouse and the Irish Pub the kiddos were able to snag a treat at about 8:45pm. We will definitely be visiting again! The bathrooms are equipped with a heat lamp and hot tub jets, only stayed one night so didn't get to try them out. Complimentary coffee in the kitchenette along with a seperate sink. Fridge was off when I arrived but didntbtake long to chill the drinks we brought. Also keep in mind when walking in the room the A/C was off and seemed a bit stifling but give it about 1.5hrs and your room will chill to desired temp. Look no further! Stay inn at Murphys Suites! There are also 6 handicap spots to park in out front and elevator is located right in lobby! They also have a pool but didntbget to visit. Spa and hot tub are closed...
Read moreWe spent a night at Murphys Suites during our trip up to Bear Valley and the nearby snow parks with our family of four, including two young boys. Overall, it was a great stay!
The hotel is a little dated, but our room was clean, and the older decor added a bit of 1980s charm. The room was extremely spacious, featuring two comfortable queen beds and a separate living area with a second TV, perfect for giving the kids their space.
The staff was incredibly friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The lady at the front desk explained everything thoroughly and made us feel welcome. We also appreciated the coffee options: our room had a coffee machine, but the free coffee near the front desk was even better.
One of the highlights was the complimentary homemade donuts and orange juice in the morning—a small but thoughtful touch that made our stay even better.
The only downside was the price, which was higher than usual due to the long weekend demand. However, it was still reasonable given the comfort and convenience of the stay.
Would consider staying here again when...
