Bodega del Sur Winery — Attraction in Angels Camp

This is THE BEST winery in Murphys! My partner and I went to spend a weekend wine tasting up here and booked an afternoon. We had the entire place to ourselves (bc it was supposed to be closed and they opened just for us) and it was such an awesome experience. You can tell the family who owns this winery really cares about your experience here: the place is so colorful and decorated so beautifully, the wine is delicious as are the snacks that they provided, and they took the time to talk to us about how and why it was founded, the artist who created the absolutely beautiful labels for their wines, their experience in this town, how they celebrate their culture in their lives and work, the work that they do helping survivors of SA, and so on. Not to mention that the wine was really delicious. Their son has so much experience in fermentation microbiology (and a PhD in microbiology) to add to their expertise.
