We had stayed here about 5 years ago. This is a great location entering Murphys Main Street. It is an older hotel but the rooms are big and they are clean. The shower was great. I had asked for a two o’clock check in on a Tuesday. We arrived a little after two and there was one car in the parking lot. Took awhile for someone to come to the front desk, but we were then told to come back, the room wasn’t ready…ok, no big deal…we came back about 30 mins later and got the room keys…as we walked down the hall way, the doors to the other rooms were all open and none of the rooms were made up…it was a nice warm day and we thought we could sit by the pool, but the pool was closed for the winter, with an extra sign saying the county environmental department has commended the pool for several serious health reason…so that was disappointing because their outdoor space was closed. We decided to only stay two days instead of three, but the desk person told me I would have to wait until the morning because she couldn’t take care of my request…ok, again no big deal…the next day, the cancellation process was accomplished and when we came back to our room later in the afternoon, the room key didn’t work. Again, the front desk fixed it, but this was the second time the key had to be changed. If we had returned after 9:00pm, we would not have been able to get into the hotel….I wasn’t sure if we would have housekeeping, but when I realized we didn’t, there was no problem getting towels, soap and coffee from the front desk. This morning we noticed that the stopper to the sink was missing, I would have thought housekeeping would have reported this …..so our stay wasn’t a disaster, we had fun and the motel was not one we...

I booked two rooms over a month in advance, two days later I called to change one of the rooms from a king to 2 queens. On check in date the "owner" claims to have no record of the change request. I provided the ticket number and he still says he can't do anything. (Walking through the parking lot at 8pm, there are clearly 2 double queen rooms unoccupied on the lower level and a bright vacancy sign in the window). The owner refused to provide a refund of my prepaid $838. I had a wonderful experience in 2022 and 2023 at this hotel. I'm so disappointed with the change in ownership. Please go somewhere else.. Read moreThe location was good, short walk into town and wine tasting. However, the property was not so good. When we entered the room we noticed right away a dank odor trying to be covered up with the strong smell of bleach. We opened the windows and tried to air it out. When I entered the bathroom I noticed right away that there was water damage and black mold in the ceiling above the shower. I alerted the front desk and also showed him pictures, his response was he would notify maintenance. We were not offered a new room, we never saw maintenance and they charged us full price.||On another note, the mattress was extremely worn and thin and the pillows were about 2 inches thick. When I requested new pillows they were replaced with additional 2 inch thick pillows....||Very disappointing stay, as well as a health hazard.
